It seems strange to be posting a farewell message to a stamp set I love and do not own! But, I had to make an alligator card with my new favorite technique Faux Alligator skin! So, this is my fond farewell to Wild About You set, which is retiring at the end of this month.
My camera has a hard time getting Certainly Celery right, so I have to let you know that is the color I used for the green. I had some left over Alligators from this card.
I also used the Say It with Scallops set, another retiring set that is super cute!
The last stamp I used is the Twill Background stamp, this one is not retiring.
The celery ribbon is left over from my Sale-A-Bration ribbon bundle, it's twill. So, this card has a lot of texture.
The faux alligator skin technique is the creation of Jackie Topa I believe. It is easier than it looks!
1. Cover your card stock with versamark ink by pressing the stamp pad all over the card stock, until you have a good coating.
2. Sprinkle on clear embossing powder, tap off excess.
3. Using bone folder draw wavy line in the powder as you like, tap off excess powder
4. Heat with embossing gun.
5. Use as you like, you can run it through the big shot before or after!
ONE MORE THING! I got the best surprise yesterday! A hand stamped card in the mail! It was from my friend Beth. HOW SWEET IS SHE! And, she is a totally awesome stamper! THANKS BETH!
Isn't it gorgeous! We were suppose to have a meeting tonight. But, it was canceled. Beth already had her swaps done so she mailed them out to 11 people from our group. I was one of them, I feel like I won the lottery! I am sad we did not have our group get together though, I was going to demo! So, I will have to show you all what I was going to do!!! Maybe tomorrow, however, we JUST got a new TV, like an hour and a half ago! My daughter and I celebrated by watching Sesame Street in HD and snacking on HOME MADE banana bread and HOMEMADE hot cocoa! Elmo is so cute in HD! Anyway, my hubby and I have plans to put our feet up on the reclining sofa, watch Eagle Eye and eat our favorite TCBY shiver! That's a dream night for parents of young children. I will hold the dream in my head and not think of how many interruptions we will have!
Happy Stampin'

Do you have the name of the stamp set used in the card by Beth Suhr? I can't seem to find those flowers?

Both cards are lovely! I do own Wild About You and it is a set I will probably always keep! Love the animal images in it! Love your alligator skin-I keep meaning to try this!

Oh, lucky you! Beth did an awesome job on this card. And I love your alligator card. How fun to use that technique with the alligator stamp. And I love your sentiment inside the frame...looks great!
