This week's challenge at Stampin' Royalty is a color challenge.
The real challenge for me was to make something with these colors that was not Christmas. I've been playing with my new Valentine's products and so I challenged myself to make a Valentine card with these colors.
I am pleased with how it turned out and don't think of Christmas when I look at the card.
I embossed the saying from the Sealed with Love Stamp Set with White Embossing powder on Real Red card stock and then die cut it with a Heart framelit. I love the traditional look of a simple red heart with Happy Valentines Day on it, which made me want to pair it with a bit of doily.
I also used the dies that coordinate with the Sealed with Love stamp set, Love Notes, to die cut the little mini envelope and tiny note in it. There is even a tiny little die to cut out a liner for your little envelope!
I added more color to my Sending Love designer paper, by coloring the open white spaces on either side of the red stripes with my Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy markers.
For an extra little touch I added some tousled green thread behind the heart, love is in the details.
