Today is my dear friend Britiney's Birthday! Happy Birthday my friend. On my birthday, Britiney made me a cake, it was so SWEET!! So, this year I wanted to "pay it forward". I decided to make....
They are yellow cupcakes, with lemon curd filling and cream cheese frosting! Of course I had to sample them before I gave them to her to make sure they were edible! And, um, yeah, they are super yummy! Britiney LOVES lemon flavored deserts, so when I saw this recipe I knew I had to make it for her! I added the lemon slices to the top using the Tart and Tangy stamp set.
Can you see the Lemon Curd in the center!!!!!!!
I had to decorate the reusable container to make it CUTE!
I made the Monogram with the Scallop Circle's #2 die, chipboard and the Sweet Pea Designer paper.
How about that Sweet Pea Stitched Felt flower! I can not stand how cute these little flowers are.
Now for her card and gift!
Here is a close up of the card:
I finally used my Cupcake sizzlits! I made Britiney a cupcake card last year and knew I wanted to make her another cupcake card. All the DSP used here is from Sweet Pea DSP. For the frosting I added a little white shimmer paint over the DSP with a sponge dauber. I added a rhinestone to the top of the flower brad, because Britiney loves rhinestones. And lastly I had to have some satin ribbon on the card, another favorite of hers, I am sure she would make a dress out of the stuff, she loves it so much! I used this layout from Sweet Sunday sketch for my card, having a layout inspiration is a really fun way to challenge your self when stamping!
I made Britiney this flower brooch out of the Circle's #2 die, I saw Jennifer Ingerick's video tutorial and just had to make some! This is my first one and I love it, I hope Britiney does too!
I made the fancy favor box to hold the brooch. I got the faux tissue paper idea from Kimberly Van Diepen. I think it adds a lot to the box, cute, huh! Of course I had to make it match the rest of the gift!
I added one of my Scrunchie Flowers to the outside and stamped "For You" with the Vintage Labels Sale-A-Bration stamp set.
Here is a close up of the brooch. You make it the same way as my Scrunchie Flower but with felt circles and add a pin and leaves to the back, lot of fun to make! My leaves are from the Leaves #2 die and are green felt. It really is pretty, and I really do have make one for my self!
I hope I helped to make Britiney's birthday a special one as she is a special friend!
Hugs B!
Happy Stampin'
Carrie
