A little treat

A little treat for you on this Halloween Day!  This is my first Guest Blogger spot.  I will have 2 to 4 Guest Blogger posts per month, these will be projects made by my stamping friends!  My first Guest Blogger is Lisa, she is one of my customers and does GREAT work!  This is the card that she made for our stamp club monthly swap.  The images used are from the Booglie Eye stamp set. She colored them in with watercolor pencils and popped them with a dimensional.  The designer paper used is Creepy Crawly.  The layer with the stripped DSP on the black cardstock is also popped.  As you can see she put alot of time an effort into her card.  I participated in this swap when I normally do not just so that I could get this totally cute card.  I thought it would be a little treat for all you stampers out there, one with ZERO calories!  Thank you Lisa for your awesome work of art and for being my first guest blogger!  So, what do you all think of Lisa's card, post your comments for her!  Happy Halloween!

Designer Cone

I am so excited to share this sample with you today!  Because, I got my very own "watermark"!  It is the image on my picture with my name and copyright information.  It is much easier and nicer than having the typed information there.  Let me know if you are interested in your own watermark and I will hook you up with the gal that created mine, Beth Silaika!  Thanks Beth if you are out there! 

Now, about the project!  I saw this project at convention this year and had to make them.  They are quick, cute and fun!  All you need is a 6x6 piece of Designer Paper, punch the out one corner with a circle punch, about 1/4 of the circle.  This will make it easier for the cone to come together.  Form your cone and adhere with sticky strip.  The cute tag is from the Tagger's Dozen stamp set.  I made the scallops with the slit punch and the Crop-a-Dile (which not only sets eyelets it dry embossed those cute little circles! 

HERE'S A TIP!  Make your own shred with your paper scraps and a crimper.  Cut your scraps into long, thin strips and the crimp.  Once you have a hand full crinkle and roll them up into a ball, add this to your cone!  What a cute and fun holder for a little gift, chocolate always works.  I thought this would be fun party favors for a wedding shower, baby shower or even a birthday party, just change up your DSP (designer paper).

Happy Halloween!

I am a little disappointed with how my picture looks here.  It is really hard to see the background on the Elegant Eggplant Card.  I was so excited about this card and wanted to share it with you!  I found some glitter glue at a local art supply store, it has confetti in it, in this case jack-o-lanterns and bats!  My intention when buying it was to use it for my daughter's art group project (we are decorating trick-or-treat bags)  But I thought it looked so fun I had to use it to make a card!  Right on the front of the bottle is says "Brush On - Let Dry!"  and so I did!  It is really shinny and glittery in person.  The polka dots paper is a recycled item, it is tissue paper that was wrapped around a fragile item I bought, I knew when I saw it I had to save it!  The googly eyes are so fun, there are three different size eyes in several different colors AND, there are self adhesive!  I found these at the same art supply store and they are for my daughter's art projects, hehe.   I love dimension on my projects which may be hard to see in this photo too, I "popped" the mouth, the pumpkin, the layered square and the saying.  The saying is stamped with Basic Black Craft Ink and embossed with Hologram Highlights Embossing Powder. The cat that is behind the saying is from the hostess set Party Punch.  I have one more Halloween project I am working on, goody bags for my daughters friends I will post those later.   Check out my Halloween gallery to see the other "creepy" things I have made!  So, now that Halloween is almost here, time to start stampin' those Christmas cards!  If you need help getting started email me and I would love to help!

Photo Card

My hostess for my workshop last night requested a Photo Card.  This is the card that we made.  Of course I did not supply the totally cute picture.  What is hard to see in the picture is that each of the images, from the Perfect Presentations set, are stamped with Craft Ink and then embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder to give it some sparkle.  Also, I stamped on the photo it's self with Cotton White Staz On and a greeting from the "So Many Sayings" set, it says "Holiday Happiness".   The Ribbon is River Rock Double Stitched Grosgrain.  The tag is punched out with the Small Tag Punch and attached with the new Elastic Silver Cord.  Both images are "popped" with a Demensional.  The Oval is made with the Dashing Designer Paper and I used the Coluzzle to cut out the oval itself.  I had fun making it and so did the ladies at the party.  One of them did not want a to use hers for a photo so she arranged three trees in her oval and it looked really nice!  Email me if you would like help in making your own photo cards this Christmas!

{Domino Stamps!}

I got the GREATEST idea while at SU! Regional Seminar in Portland and I wanted to share it with you!  In the photo you can see that I have mounted a set of stamps on Domino's!  The set is "So Many Sayings".  It is a Level 1 hostess set that is actually a set of 3 stamps.  Each stamp has a collections of saying on it.  When you stamp it you get the entire set of sayings stamped at once.  You can then cut or punch out the saying that you want.  Or, color the saying that you want with a marker and then stamp it.  HOWEVER, Linda Hansen showed us this idea, to cut each saying or image apart and mount it on the long side of a domino!  HOW COOL!  You will then have to cut the stickers apart as well and mount them on the opposite side of the domino! Now it is a set of 34 stamps!  And, they fit perfectly in the stamp case they came in!  I came home and did this as soon as I got my So Many Sayings set!

Rudolph's Spares

This is my first post to my blog.  I am so excited!  I wanted to share something cute and fun.  This is one of the three projects that we are creating at my Stamp Club this month.  I can not believe we are already gearing up for Christmas!  But with these cute papers and stamps I can not help my self!  I used the Moose You set to create Rudolph.  It is simple, just add a little Crystal Effects and Regal Red glitter to his nose.  The cute Designer Paper is called Dashing.  There are a few fun details that I added, I used silver eyelets to secure the topper to the cello bag, if you use the Crop-a-Dile it will punch through all the layers at once.  LOVE that tool!  Also, I punched a tiny circle in each "petal" of the scallop circle with the 1/16" circle punch.  And my favorite detail to add to cello bag projects is to stamp directly on the cello bag!  I used the Merry Christmas stamp from the All Holidays Stamp set and the White Staz On ink.  The possibilities with cello bags are endless, they are great for fun holiday gifts, party favors and anything else your imagination can dream up!  If you are interested in stamping projects like these each month, email me about joining a stamp club, it will be your fun night out each month!
