It is hard to believe it was almost 2 weeks ago that I was in Portland, OR doing a Stampin' Party with my great group of gals there! I have been so sick since I got back, but today I feel like I might live! I have wanted to post some pictures of our stamping fun and one of the cute projects we made. It was lots of fun and I do enjoy traveling from Boise to stamp with them. Plus, I get to hang out with my sister and my dear friend Jodi from high school. It was a great time!
Here is one of the cute make and take projects we did, it is a sour cream container, made out of a window sheet.
The window sheet is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2. You roll it into a tube shape and secure it with stick strip. Then secure one end again with sticky strip and then the other end gets secured the opposite direction as the first, creating a "sour cream" container. Like one you might get at Wendy's with your baked potato. But this one is way cuter and a great little gift that must be filled with chocolate!
All the stamps used in this project are from the "A Good Egg" stamp set. The window sheet is stamped with the flower background image from that set and white staz on ink. The chicks shell was stamped on Pretty in Pink Prints Pad (ask me how you can get this for FREE!) The chick was stamped on barely banana cardstock. Both pieces were cut out and mounted onto the chick stamped on whisper white then I trimmed around the whisper white. The chick is mounted to the sour cream container with sticky strip.
The saying was stamped with basic black on pretty in pink and punched out with the word window punch. I attached it to the top of the container with natural hemp. The whole punched in the container was reinforced with an eyelet. The Crop-a-dile punches a whole and sets the eyelet in the window sheet with ease! Here are the girls stamping their make and take projects! We also made a treat holder card and a card using the crayon resist technique.
I hope they all had as much fun as I did. I am sure the excitement will continue as their new Stampin' Up! products have arrived! I can't wait to go back and stamp with them again. Thanks to all my stampin' girls in Portland and my great hostess Mai and my right hand girl in Portland, Cindy!
See you all Soon and Happy Stampin'
Carrie
How funny. I saw this post on my google reader and without looking at who it was from, I thought to myself, "I've got to send this to Carrie!! This is EXACTLY what we talked about!!" Then I saw it was from you. These turned out adorable!! I miss you. Hope you're feeling better.
