My hubby is out of town this week for a training, I know how darn they plan it over Valentines Day. We had a special day on Saturday, thanks to Grandma and Papa! I wanted to make something special to tuck in his suitcase for him to find while he was away. So, this is the card I made him. I wanted it to be Valentines like and Masculine. So I use one of my favorite stamp sets "Moose You". It has a heart for Valentines Day and a Deer for my Hunter Husband! Perfect! I also stashed some chocolate in the suitcase too. I wanted him to feel special and missed while he was away.
I stamped the heart on the Real Red card with Versamark ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder. To give the background a shinny look. I had to share that because if you have ever tried to stamp a tone on tone back ground with Real Red ink and card stock you may have notice it kinda disappears. So, this is a little way to get a nice background on Real Red.
The saying I printed out on my computer using the Write Me a Memory II CD, the Font is "KP Quick". I have used it several times with this set, for my Christmas Card which said "Merry Christmoose to you" and for my hubby's birthday card "Happy Birthday my Deer", which you can see here...
It is a Pop Up card so you Have to see the inside as well! The "stuck on you image is perfect for cards for the ones you love, I used it on the inside of my Valentines card as well. My husband always checks the inside of any card I show him that I have made. He feels the inside should be as cute as the outside, but I have to say sometimes I get so busy and consumed with the outsides sometimes I do nothing on the inside. EXCEPT for when I am making a card for him!
I also stamped the Moose image on the back of the valentines card, it says Moose you so much, I thought that was perfect since we are spending out V-day apart! Sad in my heart!
I hope these cards inspire you to make fun cards for the men in your life. Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts.
Happy Stampin'
Carrie
