Happy Easter!
I just had to share with you the totally cute cello bag treats I made for my daughter's Easter basket.
Isn't she cute? I was inspired to create these by some cards I saw on Gretchen Barron's blog. I put my own touches on them of course. Here is what I used:
The body is a folded in half top note.
Ears: Large and Small Oval punches
Eyes: 1/2" and 1/4" circle punches
Nose: Heart to Heart punch, 1" circle punch, 1/2" square cut on paper cutter
Hands: Small Oval punch
Feet: Large Oval punch, 1/4" circle punch, Heart to Heart punch
Details:I used a Going Gray marker to draw in all the little details. I sponges all the Whisper White accent pieces with Pretty in Pink. I stamped the "Happy Easter" from the Good Egg stamp set in Pixie Pink. The eye balls are Basic Gray and all the pink card stock is Pixie Pink. I found the all pink kisses with Happy Easter tags at Walmart and put them into a small cello bag. What you can not see is that I added a tail! It is made with the Boho Blossoms punch. I layered the large and medium flower to create the tail. Both were sponged with the pink and then the large flower was mounted with Tombow liquid glue and the medium one with a dimensional. It was quick and so fun to make! And, it will look so cute in the basket. Better than a Chocolate bunny!
Here is Easter Big Shot #2. Isn't he so cute! Look at his beak! Okay, here is how I made the chick.
Body: Folded in half Top Note
Top feathers: Boho Blossom Punch (med. flower)
Eyes: 3/4" and 1/2" circle punches
Beak: Small Oval folded in half
Wings: Scallop circle punch cut in half
Feet: 5 Petal Punch
Details: The card stock I used is; Barely Banana, Pumpkin pie and Basic Black. The sponging is done with Barely Banana. The saying is also from the Good Egg Stamp set. I added the reflection to the eyes with my white gel pen (I also did this with the bunny). Again, a small cello bag holds the eggs.
They are so cute. I can't wait to add them to the Easter Bunnies goodies!
I hope you all have a splendid day with your family tomorrow and take time to remember what this day is really all about. Because it is not all about the chocolate bunnies and Peeps.
If you have noticed that I have not been posting for a while ... I have been out of town a LOT. I went to Portland to do a workshop, my annual Sale-A-Bration workshop. Plus, my sister lives there and visited her. THEN, my Best Friend got married, so I went to Utah for that blessed event. And last but not least my family enjoyed a fun filled, fabulous vacation in beautiful Hawaii! Stampin' Up! sure knows how to put on an event a spoil a girl! Here is just one photo at the Luau of all Luau's that Stampin' Up! sponsored for us.
