Saturday was the birthday party for my friends daughter, who I designed the invitations and party favors for. The party was at the YMCA, it was really fun, because it is like a miniature water park inside! Any how, I wanted to show you the birthday card I made for the birthday girl, who turned 10!!!
I wanted to stick with her "Rock Star" theme, then it just hit me to make a cup cake card fit for a Rock Star!!! I used the same colors as we did on the invitations and party favors, as well as some of the same accessories. I love how it turned out!
Recipe:
Stamps: Simple Birthday Thanks (Cupcake), Vintage Labels
Ink: Pink Passion pad and marker, Jet Black StazOn pad
Paper: Pink Passion Card stock, Basic Black Card stock, Whisper White Card stock, Night and Day Specialty DSP (retired)
Accessories: Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter (for the cherry), Shimmer Paint (mixed with alcohol to make a spray for the frosting part of cupcake), Self Adhesive Rhinestones (non-Stampin' Up!), Black Gingham Ribbon (colored with Pink passion marker), dimensionals (under saying and entire cupcake)
Tools: Color Spritzer (added a splash of Pink Passion to designer paper background), Crimper (for cupcake paper) Scallop Circle Punch (fits the stamp from the Vintage Label set perfectly).
Don't forget TOMORROW is the last day to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration and get FREE stamps or accessories!!!! Check back later, I will be announcing a HUGE last chance sale and special offer!!!
