I went crazy yesterday, okay, it happened long before yesterday!!! But, I channeled the craziness into some creations with Felt. Samantha had a birthday party Saturday afternoon and I had planned for a while to make some head bands and things as the gift, but only had time to do it as of Saturday morning. That might be cutting it a bit close right!?! Well, it actually was super easy and fast, because I made all my creations with my Big Shot and a few Dies!!! Check them out!!!
This is the first head band I made and I think it is my favorite! Three poppies in a row! I met one of my customers the other day and she had a more grown up version of this head band on! The fabric flower thing is very hot right now, for big and little kids alike.
Then I made this butterfly head band. The center butterfly is purple, although it looks blackish in the photo. I used half pearls from the Pretties kit in the center, as I did with the yellow poppies above.
Next is a fun flower made with XL Flower Folds die and purple felt. I added a flower and clear rhinestone brad to the center also from the Pretties kit.
The last headband was made with four small scallop circles, each folded in fourths and attached to a circle. I added a tule circle and a Gray Corduroy button to the center. To adhere my creations I used hot glue, works great.
Then I made her a Pink and Brown brooch also with the XL Flower Folds Die and put a felt piece from the Sweet Pea stitched felt assortment in the center!!! Make sure you get some of the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt before it is gone at the end of this month!!!
This felt butterfly creation is attached to a clippy barrette. I used the Beautiful Butterfly die, one of my FAVES!!! The beads in the center are from the Pretties Kit!!!
Lastly, I made a pony tail holder, another poppy flower with a designer button in the middle.
It was going so well, I had time to play around a little bit too! So, I made this brooch as well...
And I made two Poppy Flower head bands for my daughters to wear to the party.....
Both had white flowers, the second one was on a pink head band. This lavender one matched Samantha's dress. The party was a princess tea party and so the girls were to dress up in a frilly dress. That head band is fit for a princess don't you think?
AND!!!!!!! I even had time to make the birthday girl a card!
Now, what princess would not love this card? I got the idea from my very talented friend Britiney, thanks girl! And while I am thanking people, my friend Patty let me have some of her felt scraps, which I used to make most of the creations above!!!!! THANKS!!!
So, not only is the Big Shot the paper crafter's best friend, it is any CRAFTY person's best friend!!!
Happy Stampin'
Carrie
Love all these ideas! I'm going to have to get a few supplies together and have a day of creating with my daughter... she would love making these kinds of things for her hair and for her friends. TFS! =)
