I do love the Tulipe die, so I gave it a "SMOOCH" with the new Log Cabin Smooch Spritz!!!
This is card #2 that I demonstrated on Wednesday night for the Stampadelicious Demonstrator meeting.
Here is what I did to make this card:
I stamped the Pretty in Pink Card stock with the Tres Chic Background stamp with Pretty in Pink ink. Then I die cut a piece of Glossy White card stock with the Tulipe Die, creating my own stencil. I like the Glossy Card stock for this because it will stay sturdy when wet. Then I added Dotto adhesive to the back of my Tulipe Stencil and laid it on my Pretty in Pink card. That went into my Color Catcher to be sprayed with the Smooch Spritz. Hold it back a ways to get a fine mist, spraying 5 or 6 times, till you get the desired coverage. Be careful when removing the stencil and the smooch spritz will stay wet a while on the glossy card stock. Give your card a few minutes to dry. Then I spritzed the card using my Soft Suede marker and Color Spritzer tool as well as sponged the edges of the card with Soft Suede. The Log Cabin Smooch Spritz goes perfectly with Soft Suede. That how I created the base of my card.
For the sentiment, from the Friends 24/7 stamp set, I stamped the image with Soft Suede ink on a Whisper White oval that I die cut from the Ovals Die. Then I stamped the Damask image with Pretty in Pink ink and sponged the edge with Soft Suede ink.
To create the scalloped edge I used the new circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack. I used 19 circles, glued them to the back of the oval, making a cute scalloped edge for my oval. I also sponged the scallops gently with Soft Suede ink. I used dimensionals to adhere this to my card front, after adding the Pretty in Pink Satin ribbon.
The scrunchie flower you see here I made with the medium flower on the Boho Blossom punch. I punched three, scrunched them up, sprayed them with the same smooch spritz, layered them, pierced a hole in the middle, added a brad and scrunched them to the shape I wanted. They are also adhered with a dimensional.
This is one of my favorite cards. I may have told you before I love the Shabby Chic look, so I am very pleased with how this card turned out.
I will be back soon with another card that I demonstrated at the Stampadelicious Demonstrator meeting. The next card used thePresto Patterns Specialty Designer paper, Smooch Spritz and the Sweet Scoops stamp set! Can't wait to show you that one!!!
Happy Stampin'
Carrie
Love brown & pink. Aren't you the clever one to make that scallop border?
