Cubbie Bear

I can not believe I almost forgot to  share this with you!  

My daughter was attending a church program called Awana's this year.  The last class was at the end of April.  I thought I would make all the teachers in her class Thank you cards using the Build-a-Bear dies, because her class/age groups are called Cubbies.  The main character in the book that they work on through out the year is Cubbie Bear, he helps then learn the lesson and bible verse of the week with a story and an activity to do at home. So, here is the card that I made for all FIVE of the teachers in her class...

The vest he is wearing is the same vest that each of the kids in the class wear, they earn badges for it as they memorize bible verses.

So, he is not exactly the same, I did not like him in Creamy Caramel, so I went with Close to Cocoa.  I love how the card came out and hope the teachers, who volunteer to teach the class know that they are appreciated!    

Don't forget the teachers in your life as the end of the school year is upon us!  

Happy Memorial Day, especially to all who have served our country in the Armed Forces and to those who stayed behind while a loved one served, I will remember you.

May Club Projects

May Stamp club is just around the corner, Monday, May 24th!  So I wanted to share the awesome projects we will be making!  

Isn't that so pretty!  For this Thank you card I will be teaching you how to make these cute Pansies using the Butterfly punch!  What you can not see in the picture is the SHIMMER of this card, the flowers are made with Shimmer White card stock and the entire card was spritzed with Vanilla Smooch spritz!  

This is a very fun birthday card!  First of all I wanted to make the ice cream Mint Chocolate Chip, yummy!!!!!  Second, watch how this card unfolds....

Isn't that fun!  And I love how great the "To the Nines" designer paper looks on this card!!!  I was inspired to make this card by one that I found on the "Me, My stamps and I" blog.  I just love it! 

This next project is our bonus project, all my club members get to make this card and all guests get to make this card if they place an order. I saw this project on the Love to Stamp and Scrap blog and feel in love with it, because of the use of the Sweethearts  candies on the inside that are red, white and blue. They are to support the USO's project to send care packages to the troops!  Coming from a military family, with 5 members of my family having served in Iraq or Afghanistan at least one time, I am excited to find this company doing something to support our troops!  So, go find these fun Sweethearts and show your support too.  My downline and I finally found ours at the local Cracker Barrel, we had to do a search on the Necco website to find stores in our area that sold their products, the we started calling until we found a store that had them and we bought 40!!!!  

 

Here is the adorable box using the "July Fourth" set from the current Summer Mini Catalog. 

When you pull the ribbon up, out come the treat, aren't they so cute!  Little hearts that say "miss you", "home safe", "brave one"!  I love it!  And since you might not be able to see, there is Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the sparkle of my blue fire cracker at the bottom, it looks so cute!

May Big Shot Club

I am so excited, this friday is my second Big Shot Club.  Everyone is invited.  We will be stamping and paper crafting with some help from the Big Shot!

For this card we will be teaching you how to create your own Texture Plate using the Daisy #2 die, which I learned from Dawn Olchefske.  And, how about some BLACK CHUNKY GLITTER, see it there in the center of the main flower, that great idea was from my down line, Patty Sowell, who co-hosts this event with me!  What a fun card!!!

 

Time for a little something for the guys!  I love the use of the new Square Lattice embossing folder on Basic Black card stock, it gives the look of tire tread, that idea was inspired by a similar card that my down line, Marissa Hewitt made, thanks girl!  On this card you will also get the chance to try out our new SMOOCH SPRTIZ, prepare your self to fall in LOVE!  If you don't need a Father's Day card you can make this one a birthday card!  
 

Now for a SNEEK PEEK of the card I will demonstrate, this card will be given to the Hostess of night. 

Isn't that bee just the cutest!  Thanks to Diana Gibbs for the inspiration for this card.  I can not wait to show this one to you!!!

There will also be a BONUS project using the Matchbox die and Top Note die!!!  I am still putting the finishing touches on that and will share it soon!
