Phew, we made it through the birthday party last night! It was fun, because I kept it a little more low keep this time. I wanted to share some of the things I made for the party!
Here is the Birthday Banner, it is really hard to see the detail when taking a picture of the whole thing. I do have to say, after this Birthday party I have pretty much used up all my retired Brilliant Blue card stock!
The other pennants each have a letter instead of Big Bird, that spell out Hannah and the last pennant has the number 2. I used the Pennant Die, Natural Serif Alphabet Dies and the Billboard Alphabet die to make this banner, as well as some punches.
Here is the Birthday Card I made for Hannah,
The three Sesame Street neighbors barely fit on the card together, but it worked. You can see my Birthday invitation post for all the punches I used to create the punched Sesame Street characters. I had to incorporate the polka dot ribbon, also retired, but I had a little bit on hand, love it. I did not forget the inside of the card...
I really wanted to incorporate Oscar somewhere, but who wants a Grouch at their birthday party?
I told you yesterday that I would share the Cookie Monster cupcakes with you today, well, here they are...
Aren't they super cute!!! Let me just say BLUE, we might have had BLUE FROSTING EVERYWHERE. But they kids of course did not mind!
Do you see Hannah's cute T-shirt? I made that! I used felt and my BIG SHOT!!! Cookie Monster's head is cut with the Scallop Circle Die #2, using the largest circle on that die. I cut it once then laid it back on the die, but rotating it so that the scallops were off set. Then ran it again, and it gives it a spikier edge, more like Cookie Monster's fur. The whites of the eyes and the cookie are from the Circle Die #2. The black part of the eye is from the Natural Serif Alphabet, the dot for the exclamation point! To adhere it I used Wonder Under to iron it on, it is great, but if you use it you still need to stitch it on if you want your applique to stay forever.
Okay, I just had to throw this picture in for the cuteness factor! It was so cute to see her open her presents all by her self, Daddy did offer some assistance here and there. And, what about those toes! Anyway! One last creation to share with you, yesterday I shared with you the Letter of the Day, now, it is time for the Number of the Day...
It's another scrapbook page created using My Digital Studio. I turned this page into a hybrid page, which means some of it was done digitally and some was done traditionally. I trimmed the page down a bit and mounted it on Brilliant Blue. Then I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the candle flames. I am really having fun with this Digital Scrapbooking !
Well, thanks for sharing in the whole birthday party experience with me. I love taking a theme and running with it for my daughter's birthdays. Which reminds me I did not share with you the Cowgirl Birthday party creations for my daughter Samantha's birthday, or the things I made for MINE!!! I will work on that!
Happy Stampin'
