Look what I made at Stamp Club!

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

For the past several months I have been attending my friend, Britiney's, Stamp Club.  She is a demonstrator in my group.  I love her style and going to her stamp club is a highlight of my month!  So, I thought I would share with you the 3 cards we made on Wednesday night! I know she got some of her ideas online but I do not have names to give credit. 

I love banners and putting one on a card, GREAT idea!  Really cute, huh! 

Who knew Pom Pom Trim (#123322) could bring me so much JOY!  I can't even stand how cute it is!  My second favorite thing about this card is the mini envelope, made with the Petal Card XL Double Punch (#119273).  It is called a "double" punch because it punched out the shape as well as scores the folding lines.  Can you believe that, a punch that also scores, nice!  Another nice surprise for me on this card is the pairing of Melon Mambo and Concord Crush, yummy!  Kinda sounds like Laffy Taffy flavors!

What I love the most about this stamp set, besides that it is FREE, is the background image!  And, if you have not yet used the Seam Binding Ribbon(#120999), it is just plain FABULOUS!  It is very light weight, which makes it great for cards you want to mail.  It looks great plain, it has a nice sheen. You can spritz it with water and crinkle it up, when it dries it has a very vintage look.  You can pull one of the threads at the end and give it a ruffle look.  So many possibilities!  

I have so much fun stamping with Britiney and her stamp club friends!  For my next post I will show you the Simply Adorned Charm that Britiney and I designed for this class using MDS!

I am so excited to let you all know that Stampin' Up! has just released a My Digital Studio Catalog.  A place for you to view all that MDS (#118108) has to offer and look at all the downloads.  This publication will be updated monthly to include all the new downloads!  You can find the MDS catalog on the My Digital Studio website, under resources.  This is a great website for inspiration, ideas and training on MDS!

WOW, that is a lot of pictures!  I was so much fun to make and I plan on this being a new traditions each year, a custom calendar as a gift, and this year, one for ME as well!!! 

 

Rag Quilt purse

 Welcome Stampin' Friends!  

I wanted to share with you one of the Rag Quilt Purses I made for Christmas presents this year.  I made this one for my Mother in Law.  I also made two others for my sisters, but forget in all the hustle and bustle of Christmas to take pictures.  Luckly I see my mother in law frequently and was able to snag her purse and take a picture.  You can see here I used the Deck the Halls Fabric (#121716) from Stampin' Up!  Their fabric is really high quality.  I love how this purse turned out!  They are really easy to make once you learn how.  There is a great video tutorial on the blog, Chic' n Scratch.

Page or Card?

Last night was my Stamp Club night.  What a fun time we had.  But, I have to say the projects were pretty time intensive and we were finishing up at 10pm.  We had such a great time!  I wanted to share with you the "Page or Card" project we did.  Each month I plan a project that can be either a 6x6 page or a 3x6 card, each person gets to choose what they want to make with the supplies!  

And here is the card made with the same supplies...

We used the Presto Patterns Designer Paper(#117175), which is a white paper with an embossed pattern on it, so you can add your own color and the ink resists the embossed pattern.  It is really cool!  For this card we brayered the paper with Pretty in Pink classic ink.  We used the all new, and adorable Build a Cupcake punch (#121807)!  I don't know how I lived with out it this long!  AND, you can now get this stamp set for My Digital Studio (#118108)!  Which I used to create my punched out saying!

Love Impressions

Time to share another Stamp Club Card!  Here is a valentine card we will be making with the new Love Impressions Rub-Ons (#121886) at my Stamp Club on Monday night.  These Rub-Ons are fabulous, so vibrant, you would never guess they were a rub on if you did not know.

Isn't the Heart Hot Air Balloon so cute!  Maybe I love these Rub-Ons so much because I got them as a Valentine Gift from Stampin' Up!  Stampin' Up! treats is demonstrators well!  Another great thing I have to mentions is that you can get these Rub-Ons as a Digital Download (#124009) for My Digital Studio (#118108).  I used them to make my new "Shop On-Line" badge below!  

I got the idea for this card from one that a fellow demonstrator did, Sherri L. Barron, although I made some changes, I have to give her credit, she does great work!  

I really like the background made with the new Letter Press Plate, Heart Pressed (#121814).

But, my favorite thing about this card has got to be the GLIMMER PAPER (#121790)! I am going to be asking SU to bring this awesome paper back and to add more colors, Whipser White and Baja Breeze for starters. Okay, it is Georgie's idea (my downline) but, I love it and feel that we need to let SU! know that we NEED that!

Stamp Club Time!

Monday night is my Stamp Club, and it is the last night for this round, then we will be starting an all new club, more information about that later!!! 

Since it is our last one I wanted to do something really cool!  So, we are making a Tres Chic Handbag, a pattern I purchased from Becky Roberts.  Our Tres Chic Handbag will carry two coordinating 3x3 gift cards. What a cute gift this would make, just to brighten someone's day!  

I absolutely love this purse done with the Springtime Vintage Designer Paper(#121782)!  

Very pretty! The Vintage Flower Adornment (#121879) is the perfect finishing touch!  And, here are the two coordinating 3x3 cards: 

I might over use the word {LOVE} when it comes to my cards, but I can not help my self!  I {LOVE} this card!  I used the Clearly for You stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

The second card also uses the Clearly for you Stamp Set.  I added a TINY half pearl to the butterfly since I took the picture, SUPER CUTE and changed the Rose Red Oval to a Rose Red Scallop Oval, much better.  I really like the seam binding ribbon (#121884) for the vintage look, after you tie your bow, try spritzing it with water and scrunching it up, when it drys it has a that vintage wrinkly look.  I also pulled a thread at the end of each ribbon tail to give it the gathered look!

Headbands

One of my most favorite things to make are dressed headbands using fabric and my Big Shot to make a coordinating embellishments.  Here are two of my recent creations.

This flower was created with the new Springtime Vintage Fabric from Stampin' Up!.  My friend Beth gave me this fabric, THANKS Beth.  I want to share how I made this, but it is something I am going to be demonstrating at the next Stampadelicious Demonstrator Meeting on the 16th. I will tell you I used the Clear Circle Die!   I also used the Vintage Flower Adornments (#121879) in the center.  Those flowers look like candy, I {LOVE} them, they are cute enough to eat!

Samantha loves the Vintage Flowers too and was very excited to have one on a headband!

Here is another one I made using the Circles Die #2 some fabric I found at my neighbors garage sale, and some tulle. 

Hannah was not a cooperative with getting her picture taken.  But this is just the cutest headband!  I love the stretchy headband with a flower, this is the first stretchy one I have made, I am definitely going to make more!

This one is easy to make, die cut one of each circle in fabric and tulle, layer and hotglue them together.  I then stitched mine to the headband.  Oh, the half pearl in the center is from the Pretties Kit and is hot glued on.  You can still purchase the Pretties Kit, you can find it on the Clearance Rack on my website: www.carrierhoades.stampinup.net!
