My yummy convention swap!

Welcome Stampin' Friends!  

Today I want to share the card I made for my convention swap.  I only made 20!!!  And only for my group get together.  Really 20 is all I can handle.  I use to do around 150 swaps!!! I don't know what I was thinking.  

Anyhow, the challenge for our swap was to use a card or project from the new catalog as your inspiration.  My card was inspired by on on page 69, where they used the Pennant Parade Stamp Set (#122742), Petite Pennants Builder Punch (#122361) and the Cupcake Builder Punch (#121807) to create a icecream cone!  I loved that idea, so here is the prototype of the card I ended up making.

I said prototype because I ended up making a few changes tothe cards I actually made for the swap.  You can see at the bottom of the tag I stamped "hello" in chocolate chip and blushing bride, well I only did the chocolat chip on the swaps.  Another change I made was to switch the chocolate chip scalloped strip with the Blushing Bride scalloped strip.  Lastly, I with held the sprinkles on top, it was just a little too busy and I opted for the icecream drip instead.  The drip is the candle flame piece from the Cupcake Builder Punch (#121807).  I have to add that I am very excited about the new1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon (#124142)!!!!  It is just FUN!

Owl Birthday Invite

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

I am so excited about my latest creation!  I made my daughter's birthday invitation on My Digital Studio!!! It completely rocked my world.  I sat down and had a blast creating my card, playing with punches, papers, embellishments and in the process not wasting a single scrap of paper!!!  So, check out my Owl Birthday Invitation Postcard: 

Not sure if you know this about me I love PINK AND BROWN.  And a little girls owl themed birthday is the perfect place to use pink and brown.  I had to thrown in some Pumpkin Pie as well!  I love how easy it was to add in a picture.  

You know, all post cards have a place on the back for addresses and a message, mine had to have that too.....

How awesome that my address will be printed on each invite for me!!!  I love it!  And, I have to say I feel pretty clever about my rhyming message!!!

Too Early for Christmas?

Is it too early to start thinking about your Christmas Cards?  Well, with the new catalog out I know I have been thinking about mine, trying to narrow down my choices for stamp sets at least!  Well, my sample today should get you in the mood for Christmas.  It is one of the cards I planned as a convention make and take for my group of demonstrators.  We had a group get together at lunch time on Friday at Convention, it was fun! Stampadelicious Convention Make and Take #1

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

Today I want to share with you a make and take card that I planned for my group get together at Convention.  All the demonstrators in our group met up at lunch on Friday for a little fun.  We did a swap, a game and two make and take projects.  It was a good time and I have to give another shout out to all the gals who helped me!  Thanks Britiney, Patty, Fontella, Katrina and Rebecca!!!  I could not have done it with out you gals!!!

My Favorite Things at Convention!

Welcome Stampin' Friends!  

I had so much fun at convention this year.  It is always a blast.  I can only describe it like this, remember when you were like 5 years old and that feeling you got on Christmas eve, anticipating Christmas and then the actual day being MAGIC?  Well, that is how I feel about Convention!  So, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite things about this years convention....

1. My friend Janet's super cool Designer Paper Hat!  

2.This dress made with Stampin' Up's new fabric, Timeless Portrait #122337, Made by my friend Britiney!!! Who is pictured below in black...

3. Quality time with friends, that's Britiney and me, she is one of my besties! 

4.Walking across the stage with my downline Marissa and side line Cheryl, not sure who the gal on the far left is, but she is cute and excited. 

5. Winning the new Simply Scored, yeah, this might be my favorite thing about convention!  I have been waiting for years for us to get a scoring product, I am super excited! 

6. My downline Georgie (in the yellow) meeting her blog friend Brandi Wiggins, I think they were separated at birth!

7.Shelli's demo is always something I look forward to, this year she demoed with Shalae who rocked it!  I loved it and I got my new all time favorite quote from Shalae "No one is going to die and no one is going to get pregnant" which is what the stage manager said to her before she went on to help calm her nerves.  I found my self quoting it this morning when I was talking to my friend about the state I found my house after being at convention for 4 days  and my husband left to fend for himself and the girls with out me, the house is a reck, but ... "No one died and no one got pregnant!"  See how it could work for so many situations! 

8. I loved Donna Griffith's demo!!!  But what I loved most is when she chatted with me at the +Fun class and told me how she keeps trying to steal my stuffed owl that is on display at the home office, I demoed it at the Boise half day Regional Seminar, which Donna was at.  I will be making Donna her own owl and sending it to her!!!  Check out my owls here! 

9.  The Stampin' Up! displays of our newest products always rock!  I loved this shabby chic dresser, made into a chicken coup complete with paper chicks, eggs and hens!   

10. The vintage bike was fun too, this is Patty, my downline, pretending to take it for a spin!  She kept us laughin' that day!

11. Okay, I had to be silly too!  

12. My downline might be the queen of silly, she was super excited to walk across the stage for 5 years, can you tell which one she is?

14.Carrie Cudney's demo mixing paper crafting with CANDY!  Who would not love that!
