Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

Now that Christmas has passed I wanted to share with you the two other 365 journals I made for my other two sisters. You can see the first one I made here. 

This one is for my sister Angie, she loves bright colors and flowers. 

My favorite things about this journal are the Pom Pom trim, which you can buy off the Clearance Rack right now! My second favorite thing is the tiny strip of scallops peeking out from under the "things I am grateful for" strip.  Love is in the details.  

The last journal I made is for my baby sister Erin.  She is not a baby anymore!  She just had her second child, almost a month ago!  She is classic, graceful, and will always be my baby sister! 

My favorite things about this journal are the stitching, the Crumb Cake frame (made with the newLabels Collection Framelits in the upcoming Occassions Mini Catalog) and the flower, button and pearl.

Vanilla Pop Card

Welcome Stampin' Friends!

I had a fun day yesterday.  When you are a homeschooling Mom, you are just as excited for Christmas break as the kids are, if not more so!  Yesterday, my friend Georgie, who is also my downline, came over with her daughter.  We went to the movies with the kids and then home for some play time. The little girls played with stuffed animals and the big girls... we stamped!!! 

Before we get to our stamped creation I need to tell you that I am currently into all things *POP*! Like, cake pops! Here are the ones I made for Christmas this year.  If I have not said it lately, I love you Bakerella!  

And how about Zoku Quick Pops!  I got a Zoku Quick Pop maker for Christmas.  I can not wait to try it out!  Isn't it cute!!!

And this "pop" from the Mouthwatering stamp set coming out in the Occassions Mini Catalog on January 4th. 

I am in love with this stamp set!  And the fact that we have SCENTED EMBOSSING POWDERS to use with it is almost more than I can stand!  So, my Wisteria Wonder Pop is VANILLA SCENTED!  There are two other scents as well, MELON and CHERRY!!!  And they smell AMAZING, you might be tempted to taste your card!!! Georgie and I had fun making this card, mostly playing with the new Edgelits and coordinating embossing folders!  How awesome to emboss the scalloped edge and then use the edgelit to die cut around it!!! 

Okay, time for me to go, I have to go to the store so I can get yummy thing to make some POPS in my new Zoku!!!

It's Stampin' Royalty Day!!! Today's challenge (#104!) is a color challenge, how fun! 

Aren't these colors so yummy!  I have a thing for pink and brown!!! 

I wanted to break in my new stamps from the upcoming Occassions Mini Catalog! This icecream cone is from the Mouth Watering stamp set!  I also tried out another new product on this card, our new scented embossing powders!!!  The icecream and cherry on my card and embossed with Vanilla embossing powder! The powder comes clear so that you can use the ink color of your choice.  Super fun.  You can also get the powders in Melon and Cherry!  You can begin ordering these fun new things and more on January 4th!  I should also mention that I used a sketch from Got Sketch as inspiration for my card.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #103

I am excited to share with you my creation for the one hundred and third challenge at Stampin' Royalty.  The challenge was to create a project for Winter/Christmas.  So, I wanted to share with you a project that I made for Christmas gifts.  I made my parents and my in laws a calendar on My Digital Studio (#118108).  I put a lot of work into them and am thrilled with how the pages turned out.  For your viewing pleasure, here are all TWELVE pages!!!

Stitched Stocking Cards

Welcome Stampin' Friends!

Today I wanted to share with you the four cards we made at my Christmas Card Club this month.  For this class we used the Stitched Stockings Stamp set (#123784), the Stocking Builder punch(#124095) and the Christmas Lane Simply Scrappin' Kit (#124007).  

I think this stamp set and coordinating punch are so much fun!  I love making little stockings for my cards!  Here are the four cards we made...

Stampin Royalty Stockings

It's Stampin' Royalty Challenge time!  Challenge #102 is a Picture Inspiration Challenge.

 

I love this picture and love those stockings!  Do you know how much stockings are?!?  We just purchased new ones for our family and I have to say it was investment in Christmas future!  So, the stockings in this picture caught my eye.  Here my inspired card...

I made the garland using a flower punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack.  The stockings are hung with a Rhinestone and there is a mini jingle bell tied on both bows.  It's a little hard to see in this picture, but I textured with white with a retired texture plate.  I adore the stocking punch!  I have some more samples with it to share with you from my Christmas Card class, tomorrow!

A Card for Baby

It's Wednesday, and I am here to help you get over the hump with a cute card for Stampin' Royalty's Challenge #101.  This week our challenge is a sketch.  

   

For my card, I turned the sketch on it's side. I had to make a little change, the oval does not look good when turned on it's side, so I left that off. 

I seriously love this card.  My first thought was to make a Christmas card, I am sure I need a few more.  But I really needed to make a baby card, since my sister had a baby on Sunday!!! It is her second, a little girl this time, how perfect!  I wish I could be there to hold the baby, but I guess I will have to send this card instead.

365 journal

Today I am sharing the Christmas present I made for my sister Misty, who is currently serving in Afganistan. I miss her so much!  When I saw the 365 journal in the December issue of Stampin' Sucess Magazine I thought that was a great idea for Christmas gifts.  So, I decided to make some using composition books.  I happen to have  SEVERAL on hand, buy them when they go on clearance to have on hand!

Here is the 365 journal for Misty...

I used the Just Add Cake DSP (#124339) for the cover, I loved the color, Blushing Bride.  I paired that up with Early Espresso textured card stock and Crumb Cake card stock.  

I used some retired chipboard numbers I had on hand.  I rubbed them with the Tea Stain ink from the Distressing Essentials Kit (#118762), this helped the number to match the Crumb Cake card stock a little better. 

When ever I make journals I like to add a ribbon book mark.  On this one I added a paper bead! I was so pleased with myself.  I think it is so cute and I am sure I will put it on the 365 journals I am going to make for my other 2 sisters.  

I added my own die cut chip board accent using the Beautiful Butterflies die (#114507).  I monogramed it with the Calendar Alphabet & Numbers (#111610). 

Lastly, I stamped each page with a butterfly or two, this butterfly is from the For All You Do stamp set (#115360).  

Now I am working on finishing my MDS calendars!  I am having a blast making that!  Can't wait to share that with you as well.  

Felt Stocking

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

I am super late in posting my Stampin' Royalty Challenge #100 project for this week.  But, I finally got it done today and wanted to share it with you.  This week's challenge was to create ANYTHING BUT A CARD.  I wanted to make a stocking with my new Holiday Stocking Die and Stocking Accents Die. 

Holiday Stocking Die (#124098) and Stocking Accents Die (#124099)

I die cut two stocking shapes with RED felt and the heel, toe and topper in WHITE felt, also cutting out two of each.  

I knew I wanted to dry emboss the white pieces, so after a little research I found a way that I think works great! 

TO DRY EMBOSS FELT: 

1. Paint one side of the die cut felt pieces with Modge Podge. 

2. Let pieces dry, this takes about 6 hours. 

3. Place your dry felt on the embossing folder of your choice, putting the modge podge side face down on the recessed side of your folder.

4. Run this through your Big Shot just as you normally would.  Now you have DRY EMBOSSED FELT.  

Note: You can also use a spray starch, but I found this technique gives a very deep impression and a very sturdy piece of felt in the end. 

I used the Snow Burst Embossing Folder (#124096). 

After I had my embossed felt I set to assembling my stocking.  

First attach your toe, heel and topper with a fabric glue. 

Then, using a BLANKET STITCH, stitch all the way around the stocking.  

Just before you get to the end you want to insert the hanger, a 1/2" x 3" strip of felt folded in half, so that you catch it in your stitching.  This will hold it in place.  

Lastly, I added my stitched stocking accents.  I die cut two holly leaves with GREEN felt and three berries with RED felt.  I added some stitched accenting to each piece and glued them together with fabric glue. I also used the fabric glue to adhere the holly piece to the stocking.

This was such a fun project to make, I think I am going to make them for my little preschoolers that I teach at our Home School Co-Op!
