3 Amazing Tutorials

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

Today is the last day of March and I am hoping it is going to go out like a lamb, since it came in like a LION!  Here in Idaho we are ready to see the sunshine!  But wheather there is sunshine or not I am going to be in my stamp room, making these AMAZING projects. The three sets of projects I have to share with you today are the last three projects/tutorials for Craft Project Central this month.  

First, Heidi King, created this adorable ensemble; a Easter Bunny Treat Holders and coordinating card.  I have to make that bunny box!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #117

Welcome Stampin' Friends 

The theme for this week's challenge on Stampin' Royalty is SPRING! 

Fun!  I have had an idea for a punched bird for a while now and wanted to use that for my creation for Spring. Spring has arrived in Boise, Idaho and walking outside hearing the birds sing brings joy to my heart!  We have also had a lot of rain!  The only down side to that is my hair does NOT like the rain!!!  And, maybe my driveway full of worms!  But soon it will be green everywhere and blooms galore!

This card was especially fun to make because I got to make it with my friend Georgie, who is my downline and the moderator of Stampin' Royalty.  We made our challenge cards together today.  You can see I incorporated my punched bird idea and a little worm, normally preditor and prey, but on my card, they have put their differences aside and are now friends! 

Here is how I made my punched birdie...

1. Die cut a 3" circle (#122125) from Daffodil Delight card stock (#119683).  

2. Using a 1-3/4" circle punch (#119850), punch out a piece, leaving a moon shape behind. 

 

3. Take your favorite paper scissors and round one side of the punched out opening. I know it is a little scary, but just go for it and you will be surprised at how awesome you do, and if not, that one was just a prototype (as my friend Lael would say!)  Try again, it's allowed.

4. Using the 1-1/4" circle punch (#119861), punch out another piece from the opposite side of the bird. 

5. Again, take your favorite paper scissors and round out the punched opening, revealing your birdie! 

6. For the birdie's wing start by punch out a 1-3/4" circle (#119850), punch out a portion of that with the 1" circle punch (#119868). 

7. Round out the punched opening with your favorite paper scissors, just as you did with the bird and you are done with the wing. 

8. Sponge (#101610) the birdie and his wing with Daffodil Delight ink (#119667) to give it demension.  Run the wing through the Big Shot (#113439) with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (#117335) then mount the wing to the birdie using Dimensionals (#104430).

9. Add a googly eye with Mulitpurpose Glue (aka - Green Glue) (#110755).  Once you adhere your bird to your card draw in the legs with the writing tip of your Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker (#100082). And the worm, I cut him out free hand, in a little "s" shape. 

I thought I would also share with you the card I made with Georgie, it is slightly different than the card she made for the Spring Challenge, mostly because I messed up on mine from the get go and had to do mine a little different.  You can see Georgie's original on her blog or on Stampin' Royalty. Bunny Basket and Pop-Up Card

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #116

This week's challenge at Stampin' Royalty is a sketch, love 'em!  

I don't know why but I love sketches, they are fun to take on and make your own. And, here is my sketch inspired creation for this week's challenge. 

Pool Party and Poppy Parade, a match made in heaven!  I had so much fun making this card, playing with all my fun new things from the Occasions Mini Catalog!!!  Framlits, they rock!  Edgelits with matching embossing folders, super cool!  The Everyday Enchantment Designer Paper for Sale-A-Bration, my favorite paper EVER!  And you can get a coordinating stamp set and brads, I can never be unhappy again!  

I made this card with one person in mind, a person who used to be my employee, who became my best friend, and my upline and through lifes ups and downs we have remained friends.  Right now she is going through a hard time in her life and I think a little love in the mail will remind her how much she means to me.  I love you Em!

March Stamp Club

Welcome Stampin' Friends!  

After a long break from teaching stampin' classes due to some health issues and a diagnosis of Adrenal Fatigue, I am feeling much better and am excited to stamp with my friends/customers again!

A Color and Sketch Challenge

Welcome Stampin' Friends!!! 

Wow I have been so busy, but I finally took some time out to do some stamping for this week's Stampin' Royalty Challenge.  This week we are doing a color challenge. 

I love a challenge, and this was a good one for me, because I NEVER use Perfect Plum.  I am not sure why, but I love it with these other colors!  Soft Suede and Sahara Sand could go with almost anything and make it look great.  

However, even with this great challenge I did not have a spark of where to start, so I thought I would participate in Craft Project Centrals monthly sketch challenge as well.  A sketch always inspires me! Check out this month's sketch...

All I had to do was pick a stamp set and I was off!  I decided to go with one my favorties from this year's catalog, Field Flowers (#122762). 

I guess I need to try to use my Perfect Plum stamp pad and paper some more, now that the pad is freshly re-inked!!! It may be hard to see with the shadow but the scalloped border under my square mat is with Perfect Plum card stock.

Recycle Challenge

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

This week's challenge on Stampin' Royalty is... Going Green, RECYCLE.  I was so excited when I saw this challenge!!!  I am always saving things that I am going to "do something with someday"!  TODAY, is that day!!!  

Here is the box I started out with...

It was a box that had stampin' spots in them, I have had it for ages! 

And, here is the box, all dressed up...

I think you could make anything look good just by adding some Everyday Enchantment Designer Paper (#126154)!!!  I measured, cut and glued all differnt patterns of the Everyday Enchantment DSP (#126154) to cover my box.  The Mulitpurpose glue worked great for this.  

And, inside the box...

Some matching mini cards and matching envelopes.  The cards are 2" x 4"!  So, super mini and so super cute!  The envelopes are die cut with the Bitty Box and Envelope XL Die (#115967), in matching DSP!

Some cute little notes to go with a gift.  

That was a lot of fun to make!!!  My how my Big Shot (#113429)  and collection of dies make it so quick and fun.  How did I manage before the Big Shot, what did I even make?

My Mouthwatering Tutorial

Last week I had a workshop with one of my dear customers, her friends and family.  It was a great time of stampin' and visiting!  Today I have a scrapbook page to share with you that I demonstrated at her workshop.  

I really love the Mouthwatering stamp set and Sweet Shop Paper.  I remembered these photos I had taken on our 4th of July camping weekend.  We went into the small town of Idaho City, near where we camped and played tourists.  We stopped in this little Icecream Shop and got all the kids a treat.  It was cute little shop, sorry I can not remember the name.  But I was happy to have the perfect paper and stamped to make this sweet page!

Exploding Gift Box and Card

Monika tells us about her project: 

Make this lovely exploding box with storage drawers inside that are perfect for storing your embellishments and/or sewing accessories!  It’s also a perfect little gift box (fill with sewing accessories for your sewing friends, buttons and other embellishments for your crafty friends, or how about paper clips, push pins, etc. for a teacher gift) that can hold small surprises.  In this project you’ll also make two fabric flowers.  One to decorate your box and another that can be turned into a pin or used as an embellishment on anything you’d like!
