I know my blog is called "carrie stamps", but sometimes, carrie beads!
My mom got my sister a cute jewelry organizer to hang necklaces on for her birthday in August, and knowing that I play with beads from time to time, she said, "maybe you would like to make her a necklace to go with it." Um, what, me, um, yeah, sure. I am a novice beader, like, pull out the strechy cord, string on some beads and tie a knot, kind of beader. And my sister is a fashion deva! So, I was not sure that I would be able to make something that she would want to wear, not just that one time out of obligation to her big sister who sent her yet another hand made gift! So, after a long visit to the craft store, I left with some fun new beads and got to stringing.
I am so proud of my self, I used rings, wire, crimping beads a lobster claw! I have only used these things a few times and remembered that it is not that hard to do. I figured out how to attached the wire for the beading to the buttterfly. I love how it turned out and I think my sister will like it too! Now, back to stampin', I am working on some CARD CANDY for a convention swap. And my Stampin' Royalty challenge project, coming up on Wednesday. So, I will have more to share with you soon!
