Being organized is a good thing!  Did you know it can also save you time and money?  Yes, when grocery shopping, if you take a grocery list along with you, you are or likely to stay on track and on budget.  And, it doesn’t hurt to be stylish while doing so!  This project helps you do all of that.  The folder contains a notepad and pockets for your coupons and grocery list.  You’ll also make some cute butterfly paper clips and a matching pen!  Makes a quick and easy class or club project as well!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #148

Welcome Stampin' Friends

Happy Stampin' Royalty Challenge Day!  

Challenge #148 is a Technique Challenge: Emboss Resist! 

I thought I would do some dry and wet embossing for this challenge. Here is how I made the background for this card: 

1. I inked the side of the Chevron Embossing Folder that has the SU! logo with Versamark ink.

2. I ran my 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot, in the folder sideways.

3. Then, I sprinkled Clear Embossing Powder over the card stock and heat embossed it. 

4.Using a sponge dauber, I rubbed ink over my double embossed card stock with the following colors in order from top to bottom: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pacific Point.

5. Lastly, I buffed the card stock with a tissue to remove any ink sitting on top of the embossing. 

6. The ribbon is retired, Rich Razzleberry Polka Dotted Grosgrain, a perfect match for my rainbowed card.  There is Rich Razzleberry Stitche Grosgrain Ribbon currently available that would do the trick as well.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #147

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

This week at Stampin' Royalty our challenge is HALLOWEEN! 

I knew right away I wanted to post this banner I made with my dear friend Britiney.  We both love making banners and we got together to make these.  It was a lot of fun. Here is the banner I made:

Can you see that the circles are embossed with the spider web embossing folder.  And the letters are embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder to give them some pizzazz. 

Here is the banner that Britiney made.  Her's is a little different from mine and very much her style and it really goes with her decore! 

It looks so good on her fire place!  

The new Houndstooth and Scaringbone paper is so fun, it allowed each of us to make a banner unique to us.

Ornament Keepsakes Card and Tag and a Winner

Today I want to show you the card and gift tag we made at my Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Camp on Saturday.  

I got the idea from the tag from Becky Roberts. The ornament opens at the top and has a window in front.  Isn't that a great idea! 

One thing I wanted to tell you about on the card, since it is hard to see in the photo.  We used a Sponge Dauber to apply Shimmer Paint to the raised, embossed area and it really makes the card pop!  

If you have any question about this card, just let me know.  I am way too pooped to type any more today.  We got a new puppy yesterday and now I am SLEEP DEPRIVED! 

This is Ellie, our new puppy.  She is an American Bull Dog.  Super sweet, but now I remember what it is like to have a new born.  I need people to bring me meals!!!  

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #146

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

This week's challenge at Stampin' Royalty is a sketch challenge. 

I decided to play with my new Owl Occasions Stamp Set for this card. 

My little owl sittin' on the branch is all ready for Christmas.  Can you see my icicles?  

They are super easy to make, IF you have patience! 

1. Take a piece of wax paper, draw out your icicles with Crystal Effects. 

2. Carefully sprinkle Dazzling Diamond Glitter over the icicles. 

3. Leave the icicles to dry OVERNIGHT.

4. In the morning, peel the iciles off the wax paper and adhere to your project with Crystal Effects of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. 

So easy, now you might have to make some too!

I just had to show the little saying part up close, because I love it!  I punched out a Large Oval to go behind my stamped saying, but it was a little small and I wished I had punched out a Extra-Large Oval.  Instead of punching out another oval, I cut the large oval in half and glued it where I wanted it on the Early Espresso Label, then I popped my saying on top of that.  I added some doodling with my White Gel pen, which helps draw you eye to it.  And I added some Cherry Cobble Dazzling Details glitter to the berries of my holly.

Playing with my new Snowflake die

About a week ago I made this card, playing with my new Snow Flurry die and the new Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack. 

A very pretty set of snowflakes!  I added some sparkle using the new Champange Glimmer Paper and a Bashful Blue Glimmer Brad.  You may not be able to tell in this picture but I embossed the saying with the Early Espresso embossing powder.

My Craft Project Central Creation for October

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

This week on CPC, I get to share my creation with you!  I am so excited about these cards.  I have been doing a lot of stamping lately with my kids, holding a kids stamp camp every month.  My kids love it and I love sharing my passion with them.  So, that was part of the inspiration behind these cards.  The main inspiration came from a page of a catalog my husband tore out and gave to me.  It was a picture of backpacks, he said..."I wonder if you could make cards that look like these."  Well, I took that as a personal challenge!

Little Critter Cards

Share your love of paper crafting with children with these adorable Little Critter Cards.  You can make them for the little ones in your life or, even better, make them with the little ones in life.  Each of the Little Critter cards is are easy to make with little or not help from an adult.  The child who receives one of these cards will certainly smile.  And the sense of satisfaction at making something is something that will stay with a child for a long time to come.  What a fun kids class these cards would make!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #145

Welcome Stampin' Friends!

It's Stampin' Royalty Challenge Day!  Challenge #145 is a picture challenge...

Very Interesting and so many possibilities!  I loved all the bright colors on the giraffe and it made me think of fall. 

I took my inspiration from all the bright colors set against an earthy background on the picture and translated that into this card.  

I wanted to show you how I made the jars look like glass.  After stamping and cutting out the jars, I covered each jar with Versamark ink and then embossed it with Glassy Glaze. It is a retired product, but you could also get a very similar effect with clear embossing powder and repeating the process a few times.  When I applying the Glassy Glaze, it is so chunky you can not be sure if each spot of the surface area will be covered when you heat it, so you may need to repeat the process if you want a smooth surface.  I decided not to do that, so that my surface may look a little aged, vintage, and old.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #144

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

This week's challenge at Stampin' Royalty is a Color Challenge. 

I was excited that Tangerine Tango was one of the colors for this challenge, because it is not a color that I use very much and it needed a little attention!  Plus, I had some retired Pompom trim in Tangerine Tango that was calling to me.  

See the fun little pompoms!  And I love how the Whisper White makes the other colors POP, they look so vibrant.
