Welcome Stampin' Friends!

This week's Stampin' Royalty Challenge is to use TAGS in your creation!  

I choose to use th Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags to make my card.  I am already using them for my Christmas Card Class this friday, but wanted to use the back side of the tag this time. 

I used the tag with the Cherry Cobbler backing, it has teeny tiny white polka dots on it. 

 Let me show you how I made my silver glimmer paper layer behind the tag...

1.  Remove the cover from the Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags. 

2. Trace the tag to the back of the silver glimmer paper with a Sharpie marker, since the back is so thick and coated with a second paper, the sharpie marker works perfect here and it makes a thick line.  

3.Cut out the traced tag, just outside of your traced line.  This will create the perfect layer for your tag. 

Here is the back of my silver glimmer paper tag all cut out.  See how I cut just outside of my traced line. 

And I did not want to waste all that silver glimmer paper in the middle, so I die cut some ornaments for another card...

Today I have two Christmas Cards that I made for a class in September.  I found these cards on the WORLD WIDE WEB, loved them and cased them.  

This card was inspired by JanTink.  I love the music note background from the Natural Composition Specialty DSP.  My card is only slightly different than the original. 

And this one was inspired by Christyne Richardson.  Again, I only made a few changes.  

Thanks ladies for the inspiration!  I love the cards and so did my customers.

Seasonal Owls

Welcome Stampin' Friends and Happy Thanksgiving!  

I meant to share these owls with you sooner!  I made these owls for a demonstrator meeting.  I am a part of a FABULOUS group of demonstrators, love you ladies and gent!  Anyhow, I demonstrated these at our October meeting. I was inspired by a cute project I saw on Pinterest.  

I made the box using the Fancy Favor Die. I dressed them up with a strip from the Tasteful Trim die for their ruffles.  The wings are the light bulb shape from the Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies.  The scallop circle for the eyes is 1".  The beak and the ears are the diamond shape from the Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies.  

The theme for our October Meeting was Holidays, so in my demonstration I focused on Christmas and made a few other things to match my Christmas owl. 

Both of the containers are made with an empty brad/button container.  The one with the lollipop stick was inspired by Becky Roberts.  The container with the window sheet rolled inside was inspired by Angie Juda.  

The Lollipop container is pretty simple.  You need a Crop-a-Dile to punch a hole in the container, making the opening for the stick.  I hot glued mine in place.  It is decorated with punches to cover the stickers on the container.  

The window sheet container is not as hard as it looks.  The window sheet is 3" x 9".  You adhere it to the container by putting sticky strip around the inside of the lid of the container, insert the window sheet, which should have sticky strip along one end.  Once you have the winow sheet how you want it, adhere the ends together.  As you can see this little jar uses the lid of the brad container as the base and the bottom of the brad container as the lid.  Decorate your jar with punches and strips of dsp.  

Note: the 2-1/2" Circle punch is the exact same size as these containers! 

So, save those little containers and start creating fun little gifts!

Beautiful Hello Kitty

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

I recently had a special request from a friend to make a fun and bright Hello Kitty card.  It turned out really cute, so I thought I would share it with you. 

I happen to have a few Hello Kitty Sizzlits that I purchased a few years ago for Samantha's Birthday Party.  I made the invites, banner and thank you cards with my HK dies.   I am so glad I got them, my girls and I have had a lot of fun with them.  The saying is from the Convention exclusive "I AM..." stamp set.  I had a lot of fun creating this card and it made my day that my friend loved the card too.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #149

Welcome Stampin' Friends!

This week's challenge at Stampin' Royalty is a color challenge! 

A very FALL inspired set of colors. I so wanted to pull out my leaves, but that was too easy and this is a challenge after all.  So, I got out one of the new stamps I just got as a SINGLE stamp.  Then I looked at the picture of it in the catalog and when I saw the sample they have for this stamp it was nearly all of these colors!  So, I made my version of the catalog sample (see page 87 in the catalog for my inspiration).

Okay, I have to admit I changed the brown, from Chocolate Chip to Early Espresso, since I wanted to emboss my flower and use the new Early Espresso Embossing powder.  But my ribbon is Chocolate Chip!  

Also, can I tell you my burlap story?  A friend/customer of mine just finished planning her daughter's wedding.  They used burlap in the decorating, which she got for free from a local coffee shop.  When the wedding was over she called me to see if I wanted the leftover burlap!  OF  COURSE, I could not resist!  So, here is a small piece from my burlap gift.
