Today at Stampin' Royalty our challenge is BIRTHDAY!  

When I saw Donna Griffith demonstrate this box at Leadership I thought it would be the perfect birthday gift.  I love to give sets of cards for birthday gifts.  And this one is just so cute and easy! 

Do you recognize the little box?  

It is half of the Kraft Gift Box...

When you get the Kraft gift boxes they are flat.  Leave the box flat and cut down the middle of the box section, creating two open toped boxes!  The score line at the bottom of the box will line up with the 1-1/4" mark on you paper cutter.  You will need a heavy duty paper cutter for this task! 

 Think of all the fun little things you could put in there... candy, cookies, jewelry, brooch, toy, gum...

Each card has a stamped image from the Ciao, Baby! stamp set that has been punched out with the Petite Curly Label Punch (I got mine for free, you can too!) The envelopes are custom made with my Diagonal Score Plate and the More Amore Specialty Designer Paper!  The directions for making these quick envelopes come with the score plate, nice!

MDS for Teachers

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

It's Thursday and that means I am at our Homeschool Co-Op school.  It is an awesome cooperative of homeschooling moms and kids, coming together once a week to have a day of school.  I will be lead teaching the first hour of Preschool this semester.  All year the Preschool class has been working on an alphabet book.  I have been making the pages on for the kids on My Digital Studio.  Let me show you...

First we have the kids work on a card that we can use to talk about letter sounds.  This card is out on the table and as the kids arrive in class they sit and color this and we talk about our letter of the week.  I am able to fit four of these on a page.  The upper and lower case "P"s are punches that I fill with the color white and mat with the color black.  The "is for penguin" is just typed, as well as "says p,p,p".  The penguin is a clip art piece I imported in.  

Next we do the alphabet page that goes in our book.  

I printed this out on light blue card stock.  I will have the kids color the P black.  We will then add a white belly, orange feet and beak and a googly eye to make our P into a penguin.  I will post a finished picture of Hannah's later so you can see what it looks like all done!

Hearts A Flutter Class

I have been having fun with some of my SAB freebees today... 

At Leadership I got to meet my Business Development Advisor, Sara Rhoades.  It was so nice to put a face with a voice, as we only meet via the telephone.  When we met she gave me a kit to create a SMASH book.  

What is a SMASH Book.  It is a type of journal.  A place for you to journal about life or a specific topic.  Save fun everyday things from your life that make you happy or evoke emotion.  You can include pictures, add art and embellishments and doodling is a must.  Really, you make it YOURS.  My smash book is going to be for my business and will include, goals, inspiration, ideas, etc.  It is only limited to your imagination.

The look of burlap has become quite popular for home decor.  These two fun Valentine projects will bring the shabby chick look of burlap to your decor.  Each pennant on the "sweet love" banner is burlap with designer paper stitched on top.  Accents of glittered hearts, dyed ribbon and paper flowers finish off the banner.  The framed Amore art piece really pops with rolled paper roses.  These two coordinating decor pieces would really show someone how special they are to you or would be a great addition to your own decor this Valentine’s Day!  Visit Craft Project Central to get the tutorial for these two projects.

Leadership Swaps

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

I wanted to share with you the TWO swaps I got from Leadership.  I know that does not seem like much, but it really is seeing how I did not make ANY!!  Two of my new friends gave me their swaps.  So Sweet!  

I did not have any of my group attend Leadership Conference, so my friend who was going invited me to hang out with her group.  It was so much fun!  Jennifer Thomas made the Love card and Kari Karlin made the Heart card.  So cute that they match! 

Kari's card has a drier sheet over the stamped images.  You apply it with a thin layer of green glue, then gthe drier sheet and then some glitter!  I must try this!

Stampin' Royalty #158

Welcome Stampin' Friends!

This week we have a picture challenge and it is a fun one! 

Super fun challenge!  

I made some gift boxes.   They are going to hold gifts for my friends that are going to Leadership.  Not telling what the gifts are just yet!  

If you are wondering about that Cheveron DSP, I made it, on MDS2.  I found a Chevron DSP I liked and recolored it Tangerine Tango.  Then I just printed it out on Whisper White Card Stock.  I love it!  

Well, as you are reading this I am flying over the country on my way to Orlando for Leadership Conference, can't wait, it is my first time!!!  I will let you know how it goes!

Bird Cage & Card – By Monika Davis

Make this delicate bird cage box and matching card; perfect for so many occasions.  The box opens up on top, giving you access to put small presents or treats inside.  It’s a pretty little box to keep on a shelf and use as a decoration until it’s needed for that special gift!  Great as a favor for small parties, showers or as a fun class project!

Scrapbook In A Tin & Card –  By Amanda Corbet

This special scrapbook tin and card are the perfect way to keep photos of those you love and cherish.  The tin takes up only a small amount of space, but can hold a lot of special memories.  There are eight double sides pages inside as well as eight note cards in the pocket of each page.  Add a photo and a note about the photo and keep it all in this special little tin.  It can even double as a gift card holder for eight gift cards!  The matching card makes this a perfect gift to give for any occasion!

Serene Silhouettes Portfolio & Cards – By Kris McIntosh

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #157

Welcome Stampin' Friends!  

And Happy New Year!  Time for a new year of fun challenges at Stampin' Royalty!  This week it is a color challenge.  A fun combination!  I thought I would pull out a few of my new things from the upcoming Ocassions Catalog, it goes live TOMORROW!!! One of the things that grabbed me when first looking through this catalog was Swallowtail stamp.  A giant butterfly stamp!  

So pretty, I love it!  I stamped the butterfly first in Soft Suede on Vanilla card stock, then on a second piece of Vanilla card stock in Not Quite Navy.  I punch out various circles from the navy butterfly and lined them up over the Suede butterfly.  

I tore away some of the vanilla card stock around the butterfly to reveal a embossed background behind it; the new Honeycomb embossing folder!!!  It's a must have!  The saying is a Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Sale-A-Bration starts on the 22nd of this month, yeah!   There are lots a cool items to choose this year for SAB, you are going to love it.
