Last night was my group meeting.  I have a very unique group of demonstrators.  Some are my downline and side line while others are ophaned demonstrators.  We get together once a month to stamp, learn and share.  We have a great time! 

Our theme for this meeting was Regionals.  A few of us that went to Regionals shared some of what we learned.  

One of my favorite things at Regionals in Salt Lake was our make and take.  It is a sample right from the upcoming catalog!  SO, here is a little sneek peak of things to come! 

We even got some DSP to line our envelope...

So for our meeting I decided that my make and take project should also be a sample from the upcoming catalog.  

I love the simple, clean and crisp look of the card.  And YELLOW is really starting to grow on me!  I really like the richness of the Crushed Curry.  And it pairs well with our new Smokey Slate!

Monogram Cards

Hi Stampin' Friends! 

It's Stampin' Royalty Challenge Day!  

Challenge #173 is a Color Challenge: 

I used these colors to make a set of monogram note cards that are part of a tutorial that I am working on for a desk set.  Watch for that to come out soon, in time for Mother's Day!  

I also made two other cards in the two other In Colors that go with Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green and Midnight Muse.  Here are the Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple cards:

I LOVE MY PAPER PUMPKIN!  

My paper pumpking kit arrived today. I literally RAN to the mail box when I heard the mail truck go by.  I ripped open the package like a kid on Christmas morning!  I love that each month the kit is a surprise!  This is what I found: 

I only had 10 minutes until it was time to pick up my daughter from Preschool, I mounted the stamps and this is what I made, WITH time to spare!  

I changed it up a wee bit from the sample  and SERIOUSLY, I love it!

From My Heart

Hi Stampin' Friends!

Check out the picture for this week's Stampin' Royalty Challenge. 

I LOVE this kitchen!  I love the colors, I love the retro feel and that red hutch... ADORE IT!  I found it hard to create a card that could show all that love.  

I found I needed a little accent color and went with Pool Party for the retro feel of when you pair it with Real Red.  If you look closely at my red panel you can see that it looks like I dry embossed a plaid pattern into it.  I DID!  I used my Stipes Embossing folder, I ran the square through once and then again, rotating the square to make a plaid background.  

Another fun thing I used on this card was the Pool Party Core'dinations Card Stock.  I dry embossed it with the Vintage Wall paper folder and the sanded the raised pattern, revealing the lighter core of the paper.  This paper is also textured which adds a special touch to my card.  

Now for the hidden surprise! 

There is a pocket for a bag of tea!  Isn't that so cute!  I tend to be in love with the things I make! :)

Baby Headband

Hi Stampin' Friends! 

This weekend I went to my sister's baby shower in Reno.  I had such a great time seeing a bunch of family! 

Here I am with two of my sisters: Angie is on the left, then me and Misty (who's having the baby) is on the right.  We did miss Erin, our sister who could not make it!!! 

Last week I showed you the onsie cupcakes and burp cloth lollipops I made.  Today I have the baby headband I made and used to wrap around the tin of cupcakes to show you.  

I used the Flower Folds Die to die cut the fabric and tulle flowers.  I cut 16 fabric flowers and 8 tulle flowers.  Then I folded each flower in fourths and strung it on a needle and thread.  I repeated this pattern until all the flowers were on the thread... two fabric flowers one tulle flower.  Then I threaded back through the first flower and the flower is complete.  I just stitched the flower to the headband .  Very easy and so cute! You could make these into brooches too, just add a brooch pin to the back instead.  

Here are some other flowers I made with the Flower Folds Die with my friend Amber. 

This flower ended up on a headband for my girls. I love the fish net like tulle!

Try die cutting some fabric, it is another fun thing to do with your Big Shot and dies!

Little Cupcake

Hi Stampin' Friends! 

It's challenge day!  Stampin' Royalty's Challenge of the week is: Oh, Baby!  

That was PERFECT for me because I am off to my sister's baby shower in Reno on Friday, so I am making baby stuff already!  (Did you see the invitation I made for the shower?)

So, here is the card that I made for the challenge, which may not see like a baby card AT ALL at first glance. 

But wait until you read the inside of the card...

I made the card to match the gift...  

A box of homemade onsie cupcakes!  When I saw these onsies I knew they were the ones, pink, gray, black and white!  

The "cherry" is a baby mitten with a cotton ball in it, rolled up in a onsie.  Here is the tutorial I used for rolling the onsies. The embellishments are attached with a glue dot.  I made the cupcake holders with a die that is now retired, Perfect Setting XL die.  

I aslo made some Lollipops...

These are made with burp cloths that match the onsies!  I tri-folded the burp cloths and then rolled them up, securing the end with tape.  Then I put the rolled up cloth into a 4"x6" cello bag.  Next, I put in the 8" long lollipop stick (found at the craft store) and secured that by wrapping a rubberband around the stick and the bag till it was tight.  I found that I wanted it a bit more secure, so I put some hot glue around the base of the stick, inside the bag, just below the rubber band.  Then I tied on a piece of ribbon to hide the rubberband and make it cute!  I have glass sundae cup I am going to put these in, after I arrive in Reno.

Owl Book Mark Tutorial

Welcome Stampin' Friends! 

Today I have my Owl Book Mark Tutorial to share with you.  I am loving this project because my husband and I came up with it together!  A funny thing happened the other day.  I was working at the computer and my husband came in and sat down at my stamp desk.  He began playing with scraps of paper and came up with a great idea to add to my owl boxes.  Then he pick up a scrap that had been die cut with a framelit and said "This is an owl right here."  So we played with it and came up with a new, cute owl.  It was the perfect thing to go on the bookmark I had been planning.  So, here you have the Owl Book Marks...

Here is the tutorial on how to make the Owl Book Marks...

STEP 1: Start with a 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" pice of Melon Mambo card stock.  Die cut the second framelit from the outside from the Floral Frames Framelit set. 

STEP 2: Die cut the flower with the 4th oval from the outside of the Ovals Collection Framelits.  Now you have the owl's body... 

STEP 3: Die cut a piece of Soft Suede Desginer Prints Paper with the 5th oval from the outside.  Adhere it to the owl's body. 

Trim away the excess. 

STEP 4: From Soft Suede card stock punch the ornament from the Merry Minis Punch Pack.  Sponge the ede with Soft Suede ink.  Adhere to the owl's body with a Dimensional. 

STEP 5:  Punch out the following pieces to create the eyes:  (2) 7/8" Scallop Circles in Melon Mambo, (2) 1/2" Circles in Whisper White, (2) Medium Circles from the Owl punch in Soft Suede.  Adhere them all together.  Sponge Melon Mabmow ink around the outside of the scallop circles.  Add a white mark to each of the Soft Suede circles. Attach the eyes to the owl body with Dimensionals. 

STEP 6: From Melon Mambo card stock punch out two ovals from the Large Oval Punch.  Dry emboss them by running them through the Big Shot in the Fancy Fan embossing folder. Sponge the edges with Melon Mambo ink.  Attach the ovals to the owl body with two Dimensionals and a dot of Multipurpose Liquid glue at the top.  Press and hold the top of the wing, where the glue is to the body for about 30 seconds. 

STEP 7: Cut a piece of Melon Mambo CS to 2-1/2" x 5-1/2", round the bottom two corners.  Cut a pice of Melon Mambo Prints Designer Paper to 2-1/4" x 5-1/4", round the bottom two corners.  Mount the DSP to the card stock.  Stamp the "Imagine the Possibilities" image from the Word Play Stamp Set in Soft Suede ink at the bottom of the book mark.  Put a piece of Sticky Strip across the top of the book mark and adhere the owl, so the sticky strip is in the middle of the owl's back.  Here is what it should look like once attached from the back: 

 

STEP 8: Add a mini owl to the saying.  Stamp the owl from the Itty Bitties Stamp Set in Melon Mambo on Whisper White Card stock.  Cut it out and mount it so that the owl is sitting on the saying. 

And now you have a cute little owl bookmark to peek out of your book!

I have been having lots of fun the new Dress Up Framelit Dies!  I added the Gray Two-Toned Ribbon for the skirt and accented her out fit with th 5/8" flower trim and a Basic Pearl as well as a Pearl Necklace.  The stamped sayings are from a set I got at convention last year called "I am", it was exclusive to convention goers.

So we got to playing, both of our cards look different because we each picked our own DSP and made our cards to match the DSP.  Here is the one that I made.

Playing Dress Up

Welcome Stampin' Friends!  

On Saturday I got to spend some time with one of my customers and new friends, Danielle, playing dress up, or at least that is what it reminds me of.  

The new Dress Up Framelits Dies, remind me of all the fun I had as a girl playing dress up with my sisters.  

Danielle and I made cards using these fun new dies to make birthday cards.  She wanted to make a special card for her sister who is into fashion and textiles.  So, we each made a card, choosing our own colors and designer paper.  

We were inspired by a card we saw on Pinterest. We loved how she used the new Two-Toned Ribbon to make the skirt!  

To stick the ribbon down to make the skirt we used sticky strip and gathered the ribbon as we pressed it into the sticky strip.  

I use Rose Red Seam Binding across the top of my skirt and a retired flower accent to finish it off.  The DSP I used for my shirt and Top Note is Twitterpated. 

I love these dies and can not wait to make me some more dresses!
