Hi Stampin' Friends! 

Today is Stampin' Royalty Challenge Day!  This week our challenge is a sketch...

I used the new DSP, Gingham Garden.  This paper will be available June 1st.  I love the fun summer feel of it!  

MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS CARD:  For the butterfly I used our new Gingham Garden Washi Tape!  

Here's how:  I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock.  I stuck down one strip of the floral patterned washi tape, then another and then one more strip.  My three strips were lined up and all three rows were touching, but not overlapping.  Then I punched out one Elegant Butterfly!  

It's really easy to do because the tape is reposistionable, so if you mess up, peel the tape off and start over.  Second, the tape is light enough that you can punch through it and a layer of card stock!  Give it a try with your punches and framelits.

All Dressed Up Swim Suit

Hi Stampin' Friends! 

Today I want to show you and idea that has been in my head for a while, how to make a swim suit out of the Dress Up Framelits. 

First, here is what the Dress Up Framelits look like: 

I used the Tank Top Dress and turned that into a swim suit! 

Pretty cute and not too revealing! 

Here's how to make the swim suit...

1. Die cut one Tank Top Dress.  Cut the bottom of the dress off by lining up the top of the dress at the 2" mark your paper cutter. 

2. Using the 3/4" Circle punch, punch out two circles from a sticky note (make sure to get the sticky part).  Place those circles on the bottom of the cut dress, making sure they are even spaced and lined up. 

3.  Use your 3/4" circle punch and the post it not circles as guides to now punch way the paper, leaving the openings for the legs in your swim suit. 

4. I found the edges of the suit to be a bit pointy, so I rounded them off ever so slightly giving the suit a smoother look.  (The side on your left has been rounded and the side on your right has not.)

5.  Now add something cute, like a flower. 

They are easy to make and make a fun accent to your summer projects!

Show and Tell

Hi Stampin' Friends! 

It's Stampin' Royalty Challenge Day!  Challenge #176 is a color challenge: 

I thought I would take this opprotunity to play with my new Photopolymer Stamp sets, Show and Tell 1 and 2.  I bought them in a bundle with an On line Class.  So, I got two stamp sets and an On Line class that is made up of several videos and several pdf tutorials.  Pretty cool!  

After watching a few of the videos I was inspired and ready to play with this fun new way of stamping! 

Here is the card I made: 

I used three images to make the rows of arrows.  You just line the images up on your clear blocks and stamp as if it is one image.  I love that, it makes the possibilities limitless!  These images ink up so nice with our new firm foam pads too, I did not like the ink coverage I got with the old style of stamp pads.

You should really consider getting the two sets in a Bundle with the On line Class!

You can see in the photo above that the Photopolymer Stamps are a clear image.  This allows you to do repeat stamping to create backgrounds with ease, as you can see right where you are stamping.  If you have tried clear stamp images before and have been disappointed, you should still give Stampin' Up!'s photopolymer stamps a try, you won't be disappointed with these!  They have been working on this new product for a long time, to make sure they are top quality! They give a perfectly stamped image every time. The stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks and are easy to stamp just where you want them. I love that you get to enjoy tons of images for a great price!

Whalecome Stampin' Friends! 

I recently needed to create some bags for our Homeschool Co-Op.  We are setting them out to collect "Thank You's" from everyone on our school for a few people who have helped out in specific ways.  

I decided to use my Oh, Whale! Set, since it is soon retiring.

 I dressed up some oversized white lunch sacks I had on hand.  The colors I used where: Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Real and Going Gray.  

Now to take them to school, they will be so much better filled with all kinds of thank yous!

Label Love

HI Stampin' Friends!

It's Stampin' Royalty Challenge Day!  Challenge #175 is a picture challenge: 

Great colors and I love the baby theme! 

Here is my card inspired by the picture: 

I used some RETIRING products for my card and some BRAND new, that will be available June 1st.  

Here are the things I used that are retiring: 

Early Espresso Scalloped Ribbon, Soda Pop Tops and the Itty Bitties Stamp Set

Here are the things I used that are BRAND NEW: 

Soft Sky ink and card stock, Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Paper, Label Love Stamp Set and the Artisan Label Punch 

Because I wrapped the ribbon around the inside of the card and the arrow clip is also partially inside the card I had to dress up the inside of the card.  

The "seriously" image is from April's My Paper Pumpkin kit.  Now I just need someone to have the cutest baby boy ever!

Simply Pressed Clay

Welcome Stampin' Friends!

Today I am sharing one of my favorite new products about to be released by Stampin' Up! in our upcoming 2013-2014 catalog; Simply Pressed Clay!  

This fun, light-weight clay is easy to mold with our Simply Pressed Clay Molds!!!  I used my clay and mold to make the flower accents for this card.  

A couple other new things I used; Crisp Cantaloupe card stock and ink, Soho Subway DSP and the Label Love stamp set!

Here are just a few of the fun things you can do with this clay.

 It comes white, but you can color it any color just by adding drops of ink refill, just as I did the the Crisp Cantaloupe flower.  

You can use your Aqua Painter and color the flower with the ink color of you choice once the clay is dry, like I did with the Island Indigo flower.  

And, did you see the Jumbo Pearl in the center of the blue flower?  Just press that into your flower before it drys all the way.  

For my yellow (Summer Starfruit) flower I took my marker and colored the inside of the flower mold and then pressed my clay into it. Once my flower was dry I added some darker highlights by coloring with my marker directly on the clay, which is another great way to give these flowers color!

Wildflower Meadow

Hi Stampin' Friends!

Another Sneak Peek!  This is a card that I demonstrated at my Treasured Stampers Group meeting on Monday night.  I wanted to show them one of new things I saw at the Salt Lake City Regional Conference that really WOWed me.  It is the Wildflower Meadow Stamp with the coordinating Wildflower Meadow embossing folder!  

You can stamp the image and then emboss it with the matching folder!!! 

Isn't that so much fun.  And the stamp and embossed image look great on their own as well. 

The "happy birthday" image is from another new set called Remembering Your Birthday.  What do you think about the new Costal Cabana color I used here?  I LOVE it!

Desktop Stationary Set

Hi Stampin' Friends! 

It's Stampin' Royalty Challenge Day!  This week our challenge was to create something for MOM!  

 That was perfect because I was putting the finishing touches on a Stationary set for a class and needed a gift card to top it all off. And since I made my Stationary set for my mother I choose the " for my wonderful mother" stamp  for the gift card from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.  

I used the gift card to decorate the bag as well..

What goes in the bag???  The Desktop Stationary Set...

The Box holds 5 monogramed cards...

The box is gorgeous on it's own and holds a matching pen as well..
