Hi Stampin' Friends!
Today at Stampin' Royalty we are doing a picture challenge!
I ADORE the colors in these pictures. I could make a hundred cards with these soothing combinations. Here is the first card of a hundred....
It's one of those cards that you don't put in an envelope and mail. It's more of a go in a package, gift bag or hand deliver type card. The three flowers were die cut with the Spiral Flower Originals Die.
I like to distress my paper before ever die cuting the flower. I spritz the paper with alcohol and then scrunch it up several times. Then, I press it flat and die cut the spiral flower. It rolls up beautifully and the paper, having been distressed and then pressed flat in the pass through the big shot, is very soft and textured looking. You have to try it!
If you are wondering about my shades of pink for the flowers, I have to confess I threw in a bit of Pretty in Pink. I found the scrap in my "pink" drawer and could not resist! The lightest pink is Pink Pirouette and the darkest is Strawberry Slush.
Now for some other tricks on my card! The doily comes white, but I brayered mine with Coastal Cabana ink = LOVE!
The polka dotted paper I made in MDS. I took a square punch, streched it to a rectangle, filled it with Coastal Cabana. I found a polka dot image and colored it white. I adjusted the opacity so that the dots wehre not too bright white. The stripped piece I also made in MDS, much the same way.
Here are the fun things I used to make this card:
