My Silhouette helped me out with this card! This is the card I made for my husband for this birthday this weekend. He's been in the army over 20 years! Since making this military/patriotic themed card, I felt inspired to make another! My hubby's bday was the perfect occasion!
I electronically cut out my saying which I typed it up with a font called, "Black Ops One". I then used an ecut camouflage background and sponged over that first in Crumb Cake ink and then in our new Mossy Meadow ink. I added a strip of our Silver Glimmer Paper which I snipped the ends to give them the pennant tips. Over the top of that is a Basic Black circle die cut from the Circle Framelits and sponged with Whisper White ink. The Starburst circle was dry embossed with the Chevron embossing folder. Last, but not least, I sponged my Mossy Meadow army guy and popped him up with dimensionals on top of the starburst.
I added some ecut dog tags to the inside that said "Happy Birthday, My Hero". Which I stamped with the Alphabet Rotary Stamp. I love the imperfect look of rotary stamping, it's so vintage!
This would make a great Valentines day card too!
