Stampin' Royalty Challenge #253: SILVER
Create a project incoporating silver.
That's so much fun and such a broad theme. But I knew just what I wanted to do, a Christmas tag. I saw an idea on Pinterest that I loved; using twigs of different lengths to make a Christmas tree. I had twigs left over from another project and knew this was just the thing I should use them for! Well then one tag turned into three. A trio of tags is better than just one. I really had so much fun making these tags and I just want to make more. Forget the house work, homeschooling, errands and responsibilities, let's just make Christmas tags!!! So glad you're with me on this!
You can see I added a touch of silver to each tag. And now I need to get myself three Christmas gifts because I'm not sure I can give these away! Let's take a closer look...
The twigs! I loved how it turned out. So rustic and a little vintage. For each of the tags I used the Dictionary Page background stamp, cause I'm in love with it. My touches of silver here are the silver star topping my Charlie Brown tree, the three rhinestone jewels and the silver cord tied at the top.
Sparkle. Perfect sentiment for this tag and so it should go to someone who sparkles! Rhinestone, buttons and pearls, oh my! I found an assortment of buttons that I had on hand, hot glued them to my hand cut triangle and filled it in with rhinestones and pearls. A few of the rhinestones and pearls have been colored with my Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities markers. My favorite special touch on this tag is the white sparkle image I stamped in the background. Everyone needs that image, it is in the Holiday Invitation stamp set.
The stacked tree. I used the Petite Pennants Builder Punch to create this tree. Fat, full and tall. It's the tree I want every year. I love the stacked pieces of different papers. Different colors, textures and patterns. And now I want to go make more tags!!! They are such a fun way to make a gift extra special.
check out the fun things I used to make these tags:
Take a look at what my fellow design team members made with the SILVER challenge. We are looking for guest designers, leave me a comment if you are interested.
