Have you seen the new Mini Treat Bag Dies??? I freaked out with excitment when I saw them in the new Occasions Catalog. I have made a few bags already and it just makes my heart happy! But we love to have more than one way to use these dies and as your Stampin' Up! demonstrator it is my job to think of these crazy new ways to use your dies.
SO... Today I am going to show you how to use your Mini Treat Bag Dies to make an EXTRA Mini Treat Bag!
Here is the Extra Mini Treat Bag in action. I made these cuties for my downline. They came over yesterday for some stampin' fun and these were their party favors.
I inserted a 2" x 8-1/2" strip of card stock to be the backing for my pencils, which I stamped up to make cute with the SAB set Simply Wonderful.
Here's how you make the EXTRA Mini Treat Bag.
1. Die cut two of the smaller piece of the bag.
2. Score the bottom of both at 4-3/4".
3. On one of the bag pieces cut off the scored section. On the other cut off only the corner. *I like to cut my corners at an angle for easier assembly.
4. Adhere the two bag pieces together, gluing the flap of one to the side of the other and then gluing the other side flap to the side of the bag. Now only the bottom is open.
5. Glue the bottom flap of the bag up to finish it off.
Then you just use the other dies in the set to make your bag cute! I used my Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana Blendabilities Markers to color some of my bag to give it a pop of color. And I added some Silver Glimmer punched stars. The ribbon is one of our Sale-A-Bration give aways. You can get 3 spools of ribbon and a package of matching buttons for free with a $50 product order!
Fill your bags with any fun little things, pixie sticks, candy sticks, gum, smarties are just a few other things I can think of.
Heres a video of how to assemble the Mini Treat Bag, this will help you in making the EXTRA Mini Treat Bag, if you have never put the Mini Treat Bag together.
