Happy Valentines Day!
Today I am sharing the card I made for my oldest daughter. She thinks foxes are so cute, so I wanted to use the little fox image from they Hey, Valentine stamp set for her card.
If you are a frequent visitor of my blog you may have recognize the layout of this card from the Stacked with Love Lumberjack card I made. That card was for my Valentine Class and I happen to have a packet for this card left over and decided to challenge myself to see if I could use it to make something different. And that is where the idea for this card came from.
To color the fox I used my Cherry Cobbler and Smokey Slate Blendies markers. For the shadow under him, I colored with the lightest Smokey Slate Blendie and then went over it with the Color Lifter making a much lighter shade.
I also incorporated the You Plus Me stamp set on this card. I love the big ampersand symbol in that set but had yet to use it. Here I stamped it in Smokey Slate ink but stamped it off two times on scratch paper before stamping it on my card. Then I stamped the "you're sweet" sentiment over the top with Real Red ink.
The heart strip across the bottom of the card was die cut using the row of hearts die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits set of dies. Then on the inside of the card I put a long strip of the black washi tape from the Stacked with Love collection. I love the little window effect.
Here are all the products I used to make this Valentine Card:
