Today is your last day to get FREE Sale-A-Bration products with your order. There are so many fun things to choose from! And you get to pick one product for EVERY $50 that you order! Like this great stamp set here, Lotus Blossom.
Here are a selection of catalog items that you can pick for your free SAB products (be sure to use the code on the flyer to get it for free or you will pay catalog price):
I guess all good things must come to an end. Sadly one of those things is Stampin' Up!'s biggest annual sale, Sale-A-Bration. To send off Sale-A-Bration I am having a celebration. We will be creating some cute projects with some of my favorite SAB products from the collection.
The card we are making is a z-fold card, inspired by Dawn Olchefske.
Inside the jar are some cute things too, thank you to my friend Becky Roberts for this great project idea!
Fringy tags, so cute! And check out the mini cards and treats...
If you are in the Boise/Meridian/ Eagle/ Star area of Idaho, come stamp with me! Here is your official invitation!
I used a few of my favorite things to make this project. It's a fun little Easter Treat Bag. Some candy or a yummy sugar cookie would fit perfectly in this bag. I dressed up some tissue paper for this bag using the row of egg stamp that comes in the For Peep's Sake stamp set that I used here.
Another FAVE of mine is the Hardwood background stamps. You may have noticed that if you ever visit my blog as I use it a lot. Anything with woodgrain just makes me happy.
The last FAVE I used on this project were some colors from the 2013-2015 In Colors, which will be retiring in June, the Crisp Cantaloupe,Pistachio Pudding and Baked Brown Sugar. I miss them already! If you love these colors too, now is the time to make sure you have enough ink to refill your pads and card stock to go with.
You might like to know that I made my grass with the Fringe Scissors and that those Fringe Scissors are on sale right now until March 30th for just $7.46!
The best thing about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is all the friends that I have made. I was asked to be part of a group of demonstrators that make up the design team at SSINKspiration, they are some fun and creative ladies and I love being a part of the team. We recently had a Secret Bunny exchange. When I signed up for the exchange I gave some details about me then I was randomly assigned another member of the design team who signed up, Kathy Peck. I was given the details she gave when she signed up. Then I had to send her a surprise in the mail every Monday for three weeks. Let me just tell you, I had so much fun making little surprises for her!
Two of the things Kathy said that she liked were; cooking and Lipton Tea drinks. SO, I created a pocket card with a recipe card in the pocket. A recipe for my husbands favorite Sweet Tea.
The recipe card stamp is retired, but it fit perfectly in the Mini Treat Bag!
I also sent her 6 of the tea bags I use to make the tea.
If you would like to make this tea too, here is a close up of the recipe.
Soon, I will be sharing the two other gifts I made her as well as what my Secret Bunny sent me!
Today at Stampin' Royalty we have a color challenge, a color challenge that I picked! Every week this month Stampin' Royalty is spotlighting one of the Design Team Members and this week is my week. Click over to Stampin' Royalty to check it out.
My feather card is the result of the color challenge I choose. I inked my feather at one end with Coastal Cabana and the other end with Real Red ink and then spritzed it with water. Then I stamped it on Shimmer White paper. Then I splattered the card using my Aqua Painter and Chocolate Chip ink. Just make sure your Aqua Painter has plenty of water at the tip and then pick up some ink from the lid of your stamp pad. Tap the Aqua Painter against the finger of your left hand creating splatters on the desired paper.
NOTE: to get ink in the lid of your stamp pad; squeeze it while it is close so that the lid touches the pad, open it up and you have the perfect palette of color to watercolor and splatter with)
I used some other fun tools on this card to add texture; a sponge to add color to the edges of my card stock and rub color on my woodgrain embossed background, the Stampin' Distress Tool to distress the edges of my Coastal Cabana card stock, Fringe Scissors to add the Real Red fringe to the bottom of my feathered panel, my Big Shot to embossed the wood grain into the background and die cut the word thanks.
Did you notice my paper beads? I made them by cutting out a long and thin triangle of DSP, about 1/2" wide at the widest point and about 6" long. Then I curled it with my bone folder, like Christmas ribbon. Now that the paper is soft and ready to roll I rolled it around a dowel, putting tiny lines of green glue on the paper as I rolled. Slide it off the dowel and you have a paper bead.
I had so much fun with this card! I love how it turned out! I hope you will play along with my color challenge this week and share your card on Stampin' Royalty!
As you can see this week we have a cool sketch challenge to play along! Each week this month at Stampin' Royalty we are spotlighting one of the design team members. This week Angela McKay is in the spotlight. She also designed this week's challenge.
I was thinking this card is not too girly. Would you give this card to a guy though. I'm not sure. But, I do know I would like it for a birthday card.
The star paper is one of our Sale-A-Bration products, it's the Irresistibly Yours Designer Paper. You get to add color to the paper your self and when you to the embossed image on the paper is revealed. Super fun, right! I colored mine with Crushed Curry ink and a sponge dauber. Rubbing the ink on with a dauber allows you to put as much or as little ink on there as you like. And I like to have some spots a little darker than others, I get to customize it.
The tag is made with our new Ornate Tag Topper Punch, Chalkboard Paper, Yellow Citrus Colorbox Chalk Ink, and the stamp set Big Day from our Sale-A-Bration collection. After stamping I outlined the images with the White Stampin' Chalk marker.
Here are all the cool things I used to make this card:
EVERY MONTH, I get a little red box in the mail with a surprise stamping kit in it! It brings me so much joy. I don't have to plan the cards, cut the paper, think about what to make. Just stamp! It's magical.
I got my March kit on Saturday and made on of the cards that night. It's the Sew You Kit! Because you get to stitch!
Here are all the cool things that came in the March Kit.
I enjoyed stitching my card. But, I know that sometimes you don't have time or maybe you won't love it as much as I do. So, I made a card that you do not have to stitch! Just Faux Stitch it!
Instead of thread use a marker! Use the writing tip to draw from hole to hole. Fast and easy.
I also changed this card up a bit, this one opens at the top.
I just added a piece of card stock to the top of the card (which would normally be the bottom of the card).
I added a little pocket to the inside of the card as well, it is 3-1/2" x 2".
Perfect for a gift card, a great way to say thank you or happy birthday, etc.
Here are both of the cards, I will be sharing more with this kit soon. I love the black and white, so much fun to be had with that!
Did you notice I added a few other word bubbles to my thank you card? They are from the Word Bubbles Framelits Set! They are great for the Sew You stamp set. One of the things that I love about this stamp set is that you can put your saying inside the word bubble stamp and stamp them both at the same time!!!
Ever thought about subscribing to Paper Pumpkin? If so you should check out my Paper Pumpkin Giveaway.
Card sketches are so fun. It really inspires me to make something I would not otherwise make.
I took a few creative liberties and only rounded two corners of each of my rectangles (which measure 1-1/8" x 2", incase you were wondering).
I also took my strip all the way around my card front instead of flagging the end. I like how the vellum is not secured to the front and seems to be floating there.
The saying and flower stamped on this card are from the Simply Wonderful stamp set that is part of our Sale-A-Bration Collection. As are the Best Year Ever Designer Paper and Buttons.
Last weekend was a big deal for me! I got to demonstrate on the same stage as Bonnie Farley! If you do not know Bonnie works for Stampin' Up! and was gracious enough to come to Boise and speak at a Stampin' event put on by my friend Becky Roberts. Becky also asked me if I would demonstrate at this event! How exciting!
Here is Bonnie, we just ADORE her!
I was thrilled to demonstrate and not at all nervous! Okay, just a hair, but really I was the least nervous I have ever been when demonstrating for a big group! I love the challenge and stepping out of my box to share what I love with a big group. Georgie on my team got this picture of me while I was demonstrating on stage!
I demonstrated how to make a Double Berry Basket. If you missed it I did a detailed blog post about this earlier this month with directions. You can see it here. And here is the basket I demonstrated.
One side of the basket has a set of 6 tags and the other side has a set of 6 mini cards.
I tied the up in 4" x 6" cello bags. Here you can see what all the cards and tags look like.
I have saved my fave for last! This week I have been sharing the make and take projects from a stamp camp I attended last weekend, put on by my friend Becky Roberts. Today I am sharing the last one, the best one, my favorite.
It is a clutch made out of our Large Kraft Journal. This journal measures 5" x 8-1/4". The paper on the inside is grid paper. They are only $3.95, a perfect price point for you to get several and make some clutches and give them as gifts!
The ribbon roses and the silver button with a rhinestone in the center are both pieces from the Artisan Embellishment Kit. Which is an amazing kit of pretty, elegant and special embellishments. Trust me when I say you need this kit, you need a few of these kits!
*THE STARS OF THIS SHOW*
On the front of the clutch is a gusseted pocket. Great place to put a hand made card to go with this present!
Measurements for the gusseted pocket: 4-1/4" x 8" score both ends at 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4" and score the bottom at 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4". You will need to cut away the corners before folding on your score lines and adhering the pocket.
The back of the clutch has a little pocket, this one I feel would be perfect to slip in a gift card if you were giving this clutch as a gift. Just so you know, you are going to love this so much you are going to want to keep it for yourself. Make two right away, so you are able to give one away and keep one for you. Cause your worth it!
That cute laser cut rose panel on the pocket is a piece you get in the Artisan Embellishment Kit. It is so pretty!
The closure is adhered with a bit of velcro. The strap is a piece of lace trip from the Artisan Embellishment Kit. Attach that to a ring made by first punching the 3/4" circle and then around that punch the 1" circle. Attach this ring to a long 1/4" strip of card stock and adhere that to the inside back flap of the journal.
Did you happen to see yesterday's post where I shared the Berry Basket filled with cards. It also used the Artisan Embellishment Kit. For yesterdays and todays projects that I shared only ONE Artisan Embellishment kit was used. And I have a few pieces left over!
Last weekend I went to a stamp camp put on by my friend Becky Roberts. It was a blast! We did lots of stamping. Today I am sharing part of the make and take projects that we did on Saturday. If you missed the jar of cuteness that we made on Friday night you can see that HERE.
On Saturday we used the Artisan Embellishment Kit for our of our projects. Now, when you see this kit, you are going to want it and when you get this kit you are going to want to hoard it. SO, you really need to get two; one to hoard and one to use. Or, really, you need three, just to be safe!
We used this kit to decorate our Berry Basket and to embellish our cards.
Cards in a little basket, so cute, right? All of the card are made with Note Cards, which is one of my favorite things to use. You get 20 precut and scored cards and 20 envelopes in a package for $5.95, such great deal! Here are the 4 cards...
All of these cute little cards were made with the Best Day Ever stamp set that you can pick as your free gift from Stampin' Up! when you place a $50 order.
There are several products to choose from and you can get as many as you want because you get to pick a free item for EVERY $50 that you order. But this sale ends March 31st, take advantage now so you don't miss out. We are getting to the end of this sale and when supplies run out items will no longer be available.

So, I have another Indescribable Gift card to share with you today! For yesterdays card I used a watercoloring technique with this stamp. Today, I embossed the focal image with black embossing powder. Then I colored in the image with markers. Pretty easy. I like to emboss images and color them because the embossed edge hold the marker in making it quick and easy to color with out going out of the lines.
I used two shades of each color, so I could color the image a light color and highlight it with a darker color. For the flowers I actually used three colors! I colored them with So Saffron added some Daffodil Delight and then highlighted with Hello Honey. For the leaves I used Pear Pizzaz and Mossy Meadow. For the Branch I used Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip. Hungry yet? I love the names of our colors, so yummy!
If you have not seen all of the blog posts on this blog hop, click the next button below to start the tour from the beginning. Thanks for visiting my blog!
I choose a new favorite stamp set Indescribable Gift for this challenge. I wanted that "no line" look. It is suppose to look like I painted it and not stamped it. I love how this turned out but feel like I could definitely use some practice.
To do the "no line" coloring you need to stamp your image in light colors, which I mostly did here, on Shimmer White Card Stock.
Then I watercolored over it using an Aqua Painter. I did the flowers first with Wisteria Wonder Ink and then highlighted and outlined with Elegant Eggplant. The leaves are done the same with Wild Wasabi and Always Artichoke. The branch with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. And I watercolored around the image with Crumb Cake as well.
Every one who subscribes to Paper Pumpkin with me gets their name in a drawing to win the Layers of Gratitude Kit.
You can see the original card that you can make with this kit here. You can see the card I made using the left over felt here. You can see the box I made using the left over felt here.
Today I am sharing an alternate project I made using this kit as well. For this one I cut my accordion card up, making 4 mini cards. Then I put those in the envelope box that comes with the kit.
Here is the box, I dressed it up the stamps from the kit as well as some embellishments I got FREE from out Sale-A-Bration collection.
The buttons, ribbon and stamp set are the Sale-A-Bration products that I added. The orange felt strip is left over from making this card. This box is not tied shut I used a little piece of velcro on this box to keep it shut.
All four of the cute little card fit nicely inside.

I made this jar of cuteness this weekend at an event put on by my friend Becky Roberts. She invited my team to join her event and asked me to demonstrate at it as well. It was a blast. This jar was our make and take project on Friday night.
Here are the cute things inside:
Three tags with filter paper fringe at the bottom!
Two 3x3 cards and some little candies. The candies are put in one of our 1"x 6" cello bags, tie the twine and cut the bag in half! Love that!
Stay tuned and I will share with you our make and take projects from Saturday as well as the projects I demonstrated.
This weekend I am attending and demonstrating at a local stamping event put on by my friend Becky Roberts. Last night we had a ton of fun stamping these cute cards that go in a jar! I post pics soon! Today is the day I am demonstrating! I am showing my Double Berry Basket! I wanted to bring something special for the girls on my team that are attending. I made them each a monogramed tag for their purse or bag.
I ended up making 16 tags, phew, I did them assembly line style and it went pretty fast.
I even made one for me, and here it is on my purse.
Good Morning my Stampin' Friends! Today I have a card for you that I designed for SSINKspirations challenge to use CHALK INK. Have you seen our new Chalk Ink and Chalkboard paper on page 25 of the Occasions Catalog? They are yummy! Take a look at my creation and I will tell you all about these fun new products.
The background, black balloon and the birthday banner are all done with the Chalkboard paper and stamped with the ColorBox Chalk Ink.
The Chalkboard Paper is very thick and sturdy. One side is smooth and has the look of an actual chalk board, this is the side you stamp on with the Chalk Inks and can write on with the Chalk Marker. The other side has a more "card stock" look to it and you can stamp the Whisper White Craft Ink on this side.
The Chalk Ink is a little different than inks you may be use to. It is a permanent ink and it gives a realistic chalk effect so it has some transparency to it. You will be able to see through it. I suggest that you order the pad and the ink refill at the same time. You will need to add ink to these pads a little more frequently than other kinds of pads. Please note that you need to shake up your ink refill bottle prior to using it. And, if you find you are not getting enough color when stamping with this ink, just add a little ink to the pad and you'll be good to go.
I have been wanting to use the Love is Kindness stamp for a while now. Doing an embossing challenge was perfect for doing "emboss resist" with this image.
I embossed the image with Versamark Ink and Whisper White embossing powder on Shimmer White card stock. Then, withe an aqua painter I picked up some ink from the lids of my stamp pads and watercolored over my white image. The ink resisted the embossed image and only shows up on the paper. After this dried I highlighted parts of the image with the matching markers.
I also DRY embossed the pink card stock on this card with the new Spring Flowers Embossing Folder and my Texture Boutique.
For the SSINKspiration challenge of using the Simply Pressed clay I had to use the new Alphanumeric Mold to create the word "LOVE" for my card. The clay is so light weight and adheres so easily to the card stock with green glue, making it perfect for paper crafting projects.
They really look cute enough to eat, like a little butter mint! I loved making them and having something new and fun to use on my projects.
Here are all the cool things I used to create this card:
Check out all of our products in the current Stampin' Up! catalogs:
And don't miss our Sale-A-Bration Collection of products (pick a Sale-A-Bration product for every $50 you order)!
If you have not used the Simply Pressed Clay before here is a video to show you how it works by one of my favorite Stampin' people, Bonnie Thurber (Farley).
