Today at SSINK we are sharing a creation with the new 2015-2017 In-Color Lace Trim.
We carry the new Lace Trim in all five of the 2015-2017 In-Colors:
Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe.
I used the lace trim to make a flower for each of my cards. Here's how ...
Cut a piece of Lace trim to 8". Stitch along the edge of the ribbon using a running stitch. Pull the end, gathering up the lace into a circle.
Tie the two ends together and snip off the ends of the string. Flip it over and hot glue a button to the center.
Here are all my pretty flowers and their matching designer papers. I made the paper by starting out with the Everyday Chic Designer Paper, which is black and white. I customized it by coloring it with the matching marker.
The cards I mounted them to are our notecards. I love these little cards and use them all the time. The come pre-cut and pre-scored with an envelope!
The "thank you" sentiment I used is from the stamp set, Another Thank You. An entire stamp set of thank you's!
These flowers great for other things too, like on my wooden letters, or how about on a headband?
The center of this flower has a Vintage Faceted Button topped with one of our 2015-2017 In Color Blossom Accents. A little more dressed up!
When making the lace flower for the head band I use 16" of the lace to make the flower a little more full. I hot glued a few feathers to the back of the flower, hot glued the buttons to the center. I adhered the whole thing to the head band with, you guessed it, HOT GLUE. To keep the flower secure on the head band I hot glued a small felt circle to the back side of the head band but over the center of the flower, it kind of hugs the headband and keeps the flower stable.
There are so many things you can do with the new Lace Trim, check out a few more at SSINK.
