Today at Stampin' Royalty challenge #284 is: FLOWERS
I thought the perfect thing to use for flowers is the June Paper Pumpkin Kit, Happy Thoughts.
There is SO much in this kit I could barely fit it all in one picture. It's really like two kits in one! You get to create 4 flower cards and 4 pennant cards.
For the SR challenge I made the flower cards. I decided not to make the all the same. I challenged myself to make each of the 4 flower cards different.
This first card is the card the directions show to make with this kit.
For my second card I decided to put my stickers on the square a little different. And use one of the envelope liners for a background. And I tied the twine around the background paper instead.
Then I thought I would make the third card with an extra fold. And I turned the square upside down. And tied the twine around the card as well.
For the last card I used a bit more of the envelope liner as a strip for the background. I saved the coral circles from the centers of the flowers, stamped on them with the small flower from the stamp set with Calypso Coral ink. I added some Bermuda Bay card stock to bring out the small checked piece. The finishing touch are the rhinestones.
I only used one of the four envelop liners for these cards and even had a small strip of the liner left over to decorate the one envelop that would be with out a liner.
The closed envelope in this picture is where I used the little strip I had left over, glueing to the inside of the flap so it peeks out when you close the envelope.
One more thing to share about this kit before I end. I was excited to share the fun of making the cards with my daughter who happen to get her own Paper Pumpkin subscription for her birthday!
A few days before at her party she found a PP post card in with her gift and was so surprised that she would be getting her very own subscription. And in this picture she was so happy when she checked the mail and found a red box with her name on it!
And this morning she found me in my stamp room about to make my cards, so we stamped one together. She had already made one of the cards with her friend who was over on Saturday.
Funny, I did not even realize she was holding her card sideways in the picture, but that is another way you could make a card with this kit! Anyhow, PP makes a great gift! You can do pre-paid subscriptions too! You can purchase 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months.

Visit again tomorrow for my post on the 4 pennant cards from this kit!
I love all the cards, they are so pretty and summery. Glad to see your daughter is also enjoying cardmaking, she seems to be very talented at it judging from her card. Last but not least I love how you used that slim little strip of patterned paper on the envelope, such a clever touch and looks so pretty. I may have to steal the idea!
