Hi Stampin' Friends!
I have been rejuvenated! I just got back from a trip to the Oregon Coast, Cannon Beach to be exact. Where two of my dearest friends got married.
My downline and bestie Georgie as well as my youngest daughter went along too. And since Georgie and I can not go anywhere with out stamping we brought along our Happy Thoughts Paper Pumpkin Kit. One evening we played with the kits, seeing what new creations we could come up with. Here I am stamping in my jammies! We also stamped one morning when we woke up early, and that's when Georgie snuck this picture. That's when I do my best stamping, first thing in the morning.
Let me show you the finished card that I was working on in the picture.
For this card I made a fun background using the sheet that you punch the flowers out of as a stencil.
You can see the piece I used as the stencil on the left. I used post it notes around it to make sure that I only sponged the one flower. I randomly sponged the flower shape all over the card with Calypso Coral ink. Then I stamped the large flower image from the stamp set over the top with Watermelon Wonder ink. It lines up really easily with the photopolymer image and the shapes are the same!
Also take a look at the square that the flower is on, it is a piece I cut from one of the kraft cards in that kit.
I cut half of the card front off and mounted my decorative square right to it and trimmed off the side.
Now, want to see the card I made out of the card I cut half of the front off?
I attached a strip of the envelope liner from the kit to the inside of the card, making it whole again, but half polka dotted. I also used some Bermuda Bay card stock on this card which does not come in the kit.
If you like these alternate ideas with the Happy Thoughts Paper Pumpkin kit, stay turned. I made six more alternate ideas with them! I will be posting them soon for your stamping inspiration.
And remember; Paper Pumpkin, don't leave home with out it!
