Today at SSINK we are sharing our Project Life creations. You might know if you visit my blog regularly that I have been working on a 6" x 8" album of last summer's trip to Yellowstone. The page protector assortment that you get for this album has a page in it that has no pockets. It's just a 6" x 8" page protector.
I wanted to incorporate these into my album for adding the vertical pictures that I could not trim down to fit in the smaller 4" x 3" pockets.
Here is the two page spread incorporating the 6" x 8" page. I used two of the pocket cards from the Let's Get Away Kit, overlapping them. I like how the card with the clouds is peeking out. I made my own tag embellishment to finish off the page.
I also used the backside of the card stock as well, making a double sided page, saving on paper.
I had a few more pictures that I just could not trim down and so I made a second full sized page.
I did angle it off the page and snip off the corners that hung over.
And here is the back side of this page.
I am going to be incorporating these full size pages into my Summer Memory Keeping Class for kids this month. I can't wait to see what creations they come up with! I'll be sharing them with you at the end of the month.
Project Life is my favorite memory keeping system. Because it's easy, I don't need a lot of product, space or time. I just purchased the Let's Get Away Bundle, a 6x8 album and page protectors. Then I started putting my pictures in the pockets. Then I added the cards from the kit that I wanted for journaling and accessorizing. Then I use the Project Life journaling pens to record my memories and thoughts. Lastly, I add any embellishments from the kit that I wanted to dress up my pages. I get such a sense of accomplishment making a page. It takes so little time to do a page and yet it turns out so cute. I recommend you give Project Life a try, especially if you have one event that you want to turn into an album. The 6" x 8" in album is a good place to start. It's not overwhelmingly big. Please let me know if you have any questions about Project Life, I would love to help you get started. You can see the entire Project Life by Stampin' Up! collection here.
