Introducing the July 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit: Thanks A Latte
Here is one of the cards that you can make using the directions that come with the kit:
It is a cute card and you can change up the saying you stamp on the cup. You can also use a different die cut cup, as there are two others. Pretty fun!
Here are a few cards I made changing up the kit a little, I like to play with mine and see what I can make with out adding a lot of extras to the kit.
This card I turned on it's side. And put the panels on at an angle. I adore the little tea bag string. It's my favorite stamp in the set! The only additional product I added to make this card was the Tangelo Twist stamp pad.
For this card I did not use the die cut cup pieces at all. I stamped it all right on the whisper white panel. To color the cup I used a blender pen and the Tangelo Twist pad.
This one I made a lot of changes but only added the use of the Tangelo Twist pad, the Polka Dot embossing folder, and the Early Espresso marker.
To make the cup into a pot, I inked the image carefully so as not to ink the handle. I stamped it and then used the matching marker to fill in the lines, so there were not gaps where the handle use to be. Then I cut off the handle pieces from the die cut cup piece. I repeated this process stamping the cup on the designer paper. Then I cut it out and paper pieced it on top of the white one. I stamped it strategically on the designer paper so that the cut out part would be covered up by the top layer. So, you will never know that the DSP has a cut out flower pot under there.
I also tore off the top, note book paper part and mounted that on the side. The thanks is stamped on a strip I cut off the white panel, making it more square and leaving me a strip to stamp on and turn in to a banner with a few snips of my scissors.
I love this one! Mostly because of the embossed woodgrain background!
I turned the DSP panel on it's side and cut off the excess. The whisper white panel is turned on it's side as well, and I trimmed off the excess once I added the stickers. And the saying is stamped with the Tangelo Twist stamp pad.
My youngest daughter stamped with me when I made these cards, I love Paper Pumpkin for giving me stress free stamping time with my girls!
She did her card all on her own with out help from me. And because of the amazing photopolymer stamps she was able to line it up perfectly!
Just before she stamped this she informed me; "Stamping requires getting dirty." I can not argue with that one!
Hannah chose to make her plant or flowers red and it looks great! She is working on compiling some cards she has made so she can have a stand outside and sell them! I have no clue where she would get such and idea!
My daughter Samantha recently got a her own subscription to Paper Pumpkin and when she was ready sat down and made her own card as well. When I asked her if she was going to make it like the directions she said, "No, I want to follow my heart and make it my own." And then my heart melted a little.
