So, I'm in love. Head over heels. Giddy.
I have discovered Hand Lettering! What a fun new thing to add to my card making and envelope addressing. I'm not awesome at it but I am trying, practicing and LOVING it!
So, when it came time to make my WINTER THEMED card for Stampin' Royalty this week, I knew I wanted to include some hand lettering.
Here is what I created with my own two hands.
I wrote the large letters with a Lost Lagoon Stampin' Write marker and the smaller letters with a Tombow calligraphy pen. If you are interested in learning about hand lettering search it in Pinterest and Youtube. There are a lot of different techniques and tutorials as well.
I paired up the Snow Place stamps set with my hand lettered saying. I hand cut the hat and make it a wee bit smaller to fit my little snowman. The snowman and bow tie were die cut using the coordinating framelits.
I even hand lettered a saying for the inside.
Like I said, I have been practicing my hand lettering. I thought I'd share some of it with you too.
These are the first cards I made, a set of note cards. Now that I have a bit more practice, I know I could do better. But they are still so cool to me.
This note card is going out in the mail today to a friend. The "smile" is my favorite.
This piece I made last night after seeing a quote a friend posted on instagram, I knew I wanted to try my hand at it. So much fun. I am filling up my sketch book rapidly. My next goal is to pair it with some doodling.
Don't miss out on the biggest sale of the year!
