Today I am playing along with the SSINK challenge to create something RED and GREEN.
Since I have been working hard at increasing my brush lettering skills I wanted to make a Christmas card. I have already done one card that I brush lettered Merry Christmas. When I looked at this creation, from about a week and a half ago, I know I have already improved so much. So, I needed to make a new and improved card.
I used my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker to write my "Merry Christmas" sentiment with the brush tip on Whisper White card stock that I lightly stamped with the Hardwood background stamp. I am very happy with how it turned out. If you are interested in learning how to do Brush Lettering then you should visit Random Olive.
I also wrote the "to you & yours" sentiment using a Project Life journaling pen.
But my favorite part of this card has got to the be bells. I stamped the bell image from the Cozy Christmas stamp set on Gold Foil paper with Versamark ink and embossed it with Gold powder. It almost looks like it was pressed into the paper.
Now remember the challenge was red and GREEN. I thought it would be fun to do a Red card AND and Green card!
So, here is GREEN...
The green is Mossy Meadow. Again I used the brush tip of a Stampin' Write Marker to create my sentiment on Whisper White card stock. I lightly stamped the World Map image in it first.
For the "on earth" sentiment I colored in the open spaces on each letter with a Pear Pizzaz marker for another touch of green.
The gold embossed sleigh is also from the Cozy Christmas Stamp set. Brush lettering and rubber stamping really are a match made in heaven!
