Hello Stampin' Friends!
Today at SSINK we are sharing our creations for Christmas using non-traditional colors. Well, it just so happens that in this years Holiday Catalog there is a fabulous pack of designer paper that is just that, non-traditional! It's beautiful and shinny. It is the Winter Wonderland Specialty Paper, it's special because two of the patters are gold foiled! Like the one I used on the front of the card.
I made this card even more dressy with the Dazzling Diamonds and Black Glimmer Paper which I used for the tree and the one horse open sleigh.
This card is a shaker card and the filling for this shaker was actually garbage. I recently made my own stencils with my electronic die cutting machine. I will show you what for in another post. These window sheet circles were the "leftover" pieces. I could not just throw them away, saving scraps is a sickness with paper crafters, RIGHT! I knew they just had to go in a shaker card, as they are my current favorite thing to make!
But my FAVORITE thing about this card are the snowflakes! They are actually natural wooden elements. Natural until I embossed them! It's so easy that I had to keep making them! All you do is press the wooden element into the Versamark pad until it is covered in ink. Then cover it with the embossing powder of your choice. Heat the snowflake until the powder melts. Let it cool for a minute and now you have a nice enameled looking snowflake! I used Black, White and Gold powder just because I was having so much fun with it. Then I loved them so much I had to put all three on the card. Which one is your favorite?
If you have a question about this card please let me know. I'd love to hear from you, leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
