Last night was my Christmas Party for my team. My team is made up of other Stampin' Up! demonstrators who I help with their business. Due to snowfall we had a small turn out, but sometimes small groups are the best. We were able to chat and really enjoy each other's company. I have a great group and have made so many good friends because of Stampin' Up!
This is one of the make and take projects that we did. I was inspired by a photo I came across on Instagram by @bonniestamp.
I loved her Pillbox so much, I only made a few changes. I added some rosy cheeks to mine, I just love that look on a snowman. It's really easy to do you just need a Sponge Dauber and a light pink color, I used Blushing Bride. Just tap the sponge dauber on the pad and rub that color where you want the cheeks. Start with a soft circular motion and then as the color begins to run out, press harder while making the circle a little bigger. Repeat until you have your cheeks the color and size you like.
I think my favorite part of this box is the bow tie! It's easily made with the Bow Builder Punch. The bow tie is that little something extra that makes this box special!
The box itself is die cut using the Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies, which just retired and sold out! The little glittered snowflake is die cut from a snowflake in that set of Thinlits as well. The letters are die cut using the Little Letters Thinlits set. I have been using these letters a lot lately and have found that I really use them. It's not just one of those purchases that you HAVE to have and then never use. They were a great buy!
The little snowflake background stamp is from the stamp set A Little Something. I stamped it repeatedly over my Night of Navy box with Whisper White Craft Ink.
The Circle Collection framelits were the perfect thing to use when I was ready to cut the snowman's head. The nose on the other hand I had to use my good ol' scissors. Actually my good ol' scissor are pretty dang awesome! Not until my precious Paper Snips was I able to cut straight. I just cut a really long triangle from Pumpkin Pie card stock and then rounded the two bottom corners with my paper snips.
It's the perfect little box for a last minute little gift for someone. Tuck some candy in and you are ready to gift someone a smile!
Please let me know if you have any questions about this box. Feel free to leave me a comment below, I'd love to hear your thoughts, comments and of course questions.
