Today at Stampin' Royalty we have a color challenge.
These colors reminded me of this month's Paper Pumpkin Kit. The green in this kit is Old Olive, so I veered off the challenge colors a bit. This is such a cool kit! The shaker card is not hard to make at all.
Here is a video on this paper pumpkin kit so you can see all the kit contents and how to make the cards in it.
The only thing I added to my card was the Early Espresso circle and a scrap of white card stock to stamp the acorn on. I also used my other ink pads; Early Espresso and Delightful Dijon. And of course I had to use one of my all time favorite stamps, Hardwood for the background.

Hi Stampin' Friends! Today I am sharing the BONUS card for my upcoming Christmas Pines Card Class on Friday, October 28th. I have a few openings left if you'd like to join us for some stamping fun!
You can make this card for FREE at this class just by bringing a friend I did not invite to join the class. You and your friend will get to make this card as my gift to you.
This card has a decorative edge at the opening. And I love the Merry Medley background stamp with a variety of holiday sentiments. You can use it as a background image or use the sayings individually by inking the stamp with markers, inking only the saying you want.
I am really excited for my upcoming Christmas Pines Card Class! Something about the pine boughs and pine cones really gets me in the Christmas spirit.
This is one of the cards we will be making at the class on 10/28/16.
I love the Pine Bough Textured Embossing Folder, especially how some of the pines overlap, giving the image a more realistic feel.
For this class I have designed 3 cards, you get to choose how many of each card you want to make. Two of each card for a total of 6 cards for $25 or 3 of each card for a total of 9 cards for $35. There is also an additional card, the BONUS card, that you can make if you bring a friend that I did not invite to the class. Your friend will get to make the BONUS card too. It's my free gift to the both of you!
I'd love for you to join us! It's my goal to help you have fun making Christmas card this year instead of it being a stressful holiday task that may not even get done.
So, YOU'RE INVITED to my Christmas Pines Card Class!
I have designed 3 cards using the Christmas Pines Stamp Set. You choose if you'd like to make 2 of each card for 3 of each card.
I also have a BONUS card for you! Bring a friend I did not invite, you and your friend get to make the BONUS card for FREE!
Take a look at one of the cards we will be making.
The Christmas Pines Set is a fun mix of pine branches, pine cones and Christmas sentiments. There is a stamp set and coordinating dies, so the possibilities are endless!

Today projects are for Stampin' Royalty's picture challenge.
These little halloween treats are so cute! This is the collection of projects that we will be making at my upcoming kids class on Saturday.
The idea for these projects came from another demonstrator, Lisa Curio and her daughter, I loved their ideas so much I tweaked them for my class. The little tubes are part of the September Something Good to Eat Paper Pumpkin Kit. Take a look at the kit and see the projects you can make with out adding to the kit:
First up are these little test tube mummies.
I started with a 1-1/2" strip of Very Vanilla card stock and tore off the edges. Then I used my bone folder to curl the paper like Christmas curling ribbon. This breaks down the fibers in the paper and I was then able to separate the paper making two pieces. The result is a soft, textured piece of paper, more closely resembling gauze.
Then I sponged the edge with Crumb Cake ink. To adhere this strip to the tube I used Tear and Tape. I added the googly eyes with the glue dots from the kit. The tags are also from the kit and have the cute little halloween images printed right on them. The sentiment is from the stamp set that comes in the kit and is stamped in Old Olive, the stampin' spot provided in the kit.
For the mini card and treat holder, I started with a piece of Basic Black card stock, cut it to 7" x 3".
Fold it in half, and make the "slit" that will hold the test tube by cutting on the fold 1" from the edge and only going down 5/8" of an inch. Repeat this from the other edge, making two cuts. Push the center flap in and you have a space to slide the tube. You can do this by hand with scissors or with a paper cutter.
The Tangerine Tango card stock is 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" and is stamped with the jack-o-lantern face stamp from the kit's stamp set. I stuck the linen thread to the back of the decorative self-adhesive flag and then wrapped it over the tube and used that to tie the card shut. The sentiment is attached with dimensionals.
You can see in the top picture I also included a 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" Whisper White panel on the inside of the card and used another stripped flag there.
As for filling the tubes I found individual packets of Sixlets Halloween candies that fit in the tube exactly. They do sell them like this in all colors as well. I found mine in the Halloween candy aisle at Walgreens, but you can also find them on Amazon. A lot of other candies will fit in the tubes, but for a kids class, I felt the candies needed to be wrapped.
For more ideas on how to use this kit, not just for Halloween check out this video with Stampin' Up!'s Carrie Cudney.

Today I am sharing one of my Stamp Club projects. Which I am also sharing as part of Stampin' Royalty's "Anything Goes" challenge of the month.
This card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest, I fell in love with the green sky! And then, I had the perfect stamp set and coordinating dies to make this card. It's the Spooky Fun stamp set and coordinating dies; Halloween Scenes.
What I love most about this set of dies is that it has two pieces that are stand alone, the tree and and fence. Which makes the cutest scenes.
Here's how I created the green sky.
Start with a piece of Shimmer White Card stock.
Punch out a 2" circle from a stick note or printer paper with repositionable adhesive on the back.
Lay the circle on the white card stock where you want the moon to be.
Sponge around the moon with Cucumber Crush ink, going almost to the edges of the paper, layering and rubbing the ink in for a nice saturated layer of ink.
Sponge Garden Green ink next, moving further away from the moon, but overlapping most of the Cucumber ink, layering and rubbing the ink into the paper all the way to the edge of the paper.
The last ink to use is Always Artichoke, at this point you are sponging the edge of the paper and over lapping the Garden Green a little.
Now dip your fingers in a little bit of water and flick water across your sponged sky. Let this sit and watch how the water picks up the ink, leaving lighter spots. Once this is dry, about 15 mins, maybe less, peel off the mask for the moon. Now you are ready to add the bats and create your scene.
Let me know if you have any questions on this technique or card, I am here to help.
I couldn't leave the inside of the card out, it needed something cute too.
Here is all the fun things I used to make this card:
STAMPS: Spooky Fun
INK: Cucumber Crush pad, Garden Green pad, Always Artichoke pad, Black Memento Pad
PAPER: Basic Black card stock, Shimmer White Card stock, Whisper White Card stock, Cucumber Crush card stock and printer paper.
TOOLS: Big Shot, Halloween Scenes dies, Sponge, 2" Circle punch, Paper Snips, water
ADHESIVE: Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots
You can find all of these great things at my online store (okay, not the printer paper or water, but everything else!):
