Holly Berry Happiness Wreath Tag

Today I am sharing the BONUS tag from my upcoming Holly Berry Happiness Christmas Gift Tag class. 

At this class you will make 15 custom gift tags, 5 each of 3 designs.  And if you bring a friend I did not invite then you and your friend will get to make this tag, the BONUS tag for FREE! 

I'm also sharing this creation today for Stampin' Royalty's Clean and Simple challenge!  This tag is simple.  I cut out a "donut" shape using two circle framelit dies.  The "donut" is 3-5/8" on the outside and the inner circle is 1-7/8".  Then I stamped the line image of the holly branch from the Holly Berry Happiness stamp set in Memento Black ink.

And since this set is a Photopolymer stamp set, I can see right through the images and was able to easily line up the solid holly branch image to add the green to the leaves, Emerald Envy ink, to be exact. 

For the third step, I stamped the little berries in Cherry Cobbler.  The large berries are Pearl Basic Jewels colored with a red sharpie marker.  Then I decided to do a little fussy cutting around the outside edge to give this wreath a little more of a detailed look.  But it would look good if you decided to skip the cutting. 

To top it off I added a hand stamped and punched bow, tag and some of the new Candy Cane Baker's Twine.

Stampin' Royalty Color Challenge

For today's color challenge we have three very warm colors, which made me want to make a warm, heart felt card. 

I did a quick watercolor wash over the background using just an Aquapainter and the Watermelon Wonder stamp pad.  Just squeeze the stamp pad when it is closed to collect the ink on the lid then mix it around with a wet aqua painter. Paint this on the card stock working your way to the bottom as the ink starts to run out. 

The stamped heart on this card is from the Pop of Paradise stamp set.  I just stamped the heart with Watermelon Wonder ink on Very Vanilla card stock and cut it out.  You may have noticed I did not use the Crumb Cake color on my card at all.  I chose to go with Gold instead.  I added part of a gold doily, gold thread, gold sequins and my favorite... Gold Wink of Stella splattered on the card.

Star of Light Silver and Bright

Tomorrow is my November Christmas Card Making Class!  This is one of the cards we will be making. 

The main star on this card is a layer of Silver Foil Paper and Silver Glimmer Paper.  And a rhinestone in the center for even more shine.  

And on this card I used my favorite image from the Star of Light Stamp set, the swirling sparkle image.

The Merry Medley background stamp is perfect for chalkboard technique. But it is also a great stamp for the individual sayings. I actually bought two of this stamp, one to use as a background stamp and one I cut into individual sayings.  And that is how I stamped the "Make the Season Bright" in Cherry Cobbler ink. 

This tag is actually two tags tied together.  The second tag is to write on.

Home Sweet Home Coffee Gift Tags

Check out these fun gift tags I made using the Home Sweet Home Thinlit Dies!  

The Home Sweet Home Thinlit Dies make cute little houses like THIS.  To make the mini coffee cups I used just one side of the main house die. 

Here's how you cut the pieces you need to make the Mini Coffee Cup Tags. 

Use a scrap of DSP about 3" x 2" for the cup.  Just a scrap of Whisper White card stock about 1" x 3" for the lid of the cup.  I run this through the Big Shot twice, making the score lines deeper, as you will have to cut off the excess. 

To make the cup look more like the ones on an actual coffee cup, cut off a little piece from each side. 

 

Then you just need the wrap.  Use a piece of Crumb Cake card stock, about 3" long and 1" wide. 

Glue these three pieces together and embellish as you like. 

I used the to and from stamp  from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set on my wrap.  

And to dress it up a bit I used the Holly Berry Builder Punch. Red Glimmer Paper berries!  

The twine I used is the Candy Cane Baker's Twine, the red strand in this twine is metallic! 

I made these tags for today's challenge at Stampin' Royalty.  Today we have a picture challenge for you, coffee inspired!

Star of Light Shaker Card

I just have to say I LOVE how this shaker card turned out!  

What I love really is that big 3-D star.  So easy to make with the Starlight Dies.  This die, cuts the star and scores the lines needed to fold and turn it into a 3D star.  

I used Mica Flakes to fill the shaker.  I love their soft fluffiness. 

The background of this card is stamped with images from the Star of Light  stamp set in Pool Party ink.  

The sentiment is from the same stamp set and stamped in Bermuda Bay ink. 

This card is pretty thick and putting it in a standard envelope could crush the star.  A padded envelope would work best for card with this star on it.  Or a good one to hand deliver.

Glamper Greeting for Him

Today at Stampin' Royalty we are sharing our creations that are for MEN!  

I chose to use of my personal favorites from the Holiday catalog, the Glammer Greetings stamp set. 

Look at all the fun images!  The possibilities so exciting to think about.  How doesn't need a stamp set that says "Not all who wonder are lost"!  

I saw a card recently on the www by Kasia Curry, that inspired this card.  I loved the campers stamped in black on white with one camper standing out in full color.  

I paper pieced this camper by stamping it on different colors of card stock. The woodgrain part of the camper is Crumb Cake card stock stamped with the Hardwood background stamp with Crumb Cake ink.  I then cut out that part of the camper and glued it on top of the one stamped on the white paper.  I repeated this with the red elements and the turquoise part of the camper, which is stamped with an image from the Glamper Greetings set.  I used a blender pen and turquoise ink to shade the windows a bit, giving them the look of glass.  For the gray parts on the camper, I colored them in with a Smokey Slate marker.  

I used the "Let's get away from it all" sentiment and stapled it to the top of the card. 

I mounted the card front to another piece of Ultra Thick card stock with dimensionals. 

Making this card made me think, how nice it would be for my hubby and I to take a camping trip ourselves this coming summer.  What a nice weekend get away that would be.

Merry Medley Stamp Set

Today's card features the Merry Medley Stamp set used in two ways. 

Here is the Merry Medley background stamp. 

This background stamp comes in wood mount or clear mount.  Wood mount means that it comes with a large block of wood to mount it on.  Clear mount means that it does not come with a block, you mount it on a clear block that you buy and reuse separately. 

I bought this stamp in clear mount and in wood mount.  

I used the Wood mount stamp to stamp the background of this card that we will be making at my upcoming Star of Light class. 

Then I did this to the clear mount stamp...

I cut the sayings out to make individual stamps and used one of them on the front of the card as the main sentiment. 

I can now mount these images individually on clear acrylic blocks and use them as individual sayings. 

If you do not want to invest in two of these stamps as I did you can leave the stamp whole and color the saying you want with a marker and stamp it that way.  Either way, this background stamp is a great addition to my collection.

November Star of Light Card Class

Mystery Swap with the Stamp Crew

At my October stamp party with my team we did a Mystery Swap.  I gave each person the same three items and they were to take it home and create something with it.  Then we all post our creations to our group Facebook page. 

Here are the three items I gave them: 

The strip of designer paper is from the Warmth & Cheer Designer Paper Stack.  A piece of Rope Trim for an accessory and a stamped image from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set finish out the three items. 

Here is the card I made with these items. 

You may be thinking that I did not use the designer paper at all, but in fact I just used the other side of the paper strip than the side shown in the photograph above.  Got to love two sided paper! 

I used the same paper stack to die cut the red heart.  I love that it looks like a cozy sweater! 

I used the largest heart in the Hearts Framelits set and wanted a larger white heart to layer it on.  SO, I turned the heart upside down, so the cut side is up, on a piece of Whisper White card stock and traced the die.  I cut it out and had the perfect layer for the die cut heart.  This works because the cut edge on the die is on the inside edge.   Next, I pierced some holes in the edge of the white heart and hand stitched it with some of the rope trim.  You can see that I had deconstruct the rope trim to get such a thin piece to stitch with. 

I used lots of dimensional to put this card together! I love the 3D feel of it. 

Two kinds of embossing on this card!  I embossed the Pool Party panel with the Brick Embossing Folder, giving it the look of an igloo.  I also stamped and embossed the sentiment with White Embossing powder.  The sentiment can be found it the Stitched with Cheer stamp set.

Sweet Home Gingerbread House

ALL THAT GLITTERS! 

That 's the challenge today at Stampin' Royalty. 

I choose to highlight one of my favorite products, GLIMMER PAPER! 

Once I made one of these Sweet Homes I could not stop.  

The Home Sweet Home Thinlit Die set has so many fun pieces that you can really play around and make each house a little different. 

Then you add in your choice of card stock, designer paper and the coordinating stamp set, you can have lots of fun creating unique houses. 

On each of my houses I used Real Red and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. 

I also used the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper for the banner, the roof on the red house and to punch out the peppermint candy pieces.  

These little boxes can be used for lots of different things;

put a treat in it and give to neighbors, friends, teachers, people who serve you, etc.

put a string though the roof and hang them on the tree as an ornament
