I've been playing around in Silhouette Studio to create a card idea that was floating around in my head and it was perfect for this week's challenge at Stampin' Royalty.
Our challenge this week is VALENTINES! The floating idea in my head was a card that opens and is shaped like a heart with a pocket on the front. I designed this card in Silhouette Studio and let it do the cutting for me.
And this is the result. I wanted the card to fit in a standard A2 envelope (5-1/2" x 4-1/4") and this card does.
And I wanted to be able to have a little pull out card in the pocket to write something cute.
But I also thought it would be great to put a gift card in there too!
Okay, I did not want to run down stairs to get a gift card from my purse for this picture, so I just used a business card. A gift card would really be more fun.
This card also looks great with out using the pocket.
Here is the card open, the sentiment stamped here and on the outside of the card are from the Sealed with Love stamp set by Stampin' Up! The designer paper I used is the coordinating paper for this stamp set, called Sending Love.
I'd love the share the cut pattern with you so you can make your own card in the Silhouette design studio. If you have a Silhouette download this file from Google Docs and open it in Silhouette to use my cut file. This is the first time I am sharing a cut file, so let's see how it goes. Click the link to the google doc below. Download the file and then save it to your computer then right click on it to open it in Silhouette Studio. You must have Silhouette Studio to us the file below. If you'd like a print able version of this card so you can cut them out by hand email me at [email protected] and I will send it to you.
