Hello stamping friends! I am excited about todays blog post as I have teamed up with fellow Journey Coach, Deb Valder. We both got excited about the idea of hamburgers! Take a look at this stamp set, Let's Eat Cake, do you see an image that could be hamburgers?
idea to turn the macarons into hamburgers came from a customer of mine at my recent cards and cake party. I love the idea, shared it with Deb and we decided to give it a try! First up, is my hamburger creation.
Aren't they cute!!! It's all in the way you color them. I used the Color Burst pencils and decided to only have lettuce on mine. The red and yellow used in the card give you the diner feel. I used the "Let's Eat Cake" sentiment, cut off the word cake, and had the perfect saying to add to my toothpick.
I covered the glass dome with Journey Glaze to give it the feel of real glass, don't think it shows up very good in this picture, but it is one of those real life touches that makes the card special.
Now let's have a look at Deb Valder's card. Take note that Deb and I did not see each other's cards until we had completed them.
I love how she cut out the burgers, removing the glass dome and the candle. And look how we both incorporated the toothpick idea!
And now I need a hamburger! Where is your favorite place to get a burger? I once had a burger at the Cheesecake Factory that had an entire full slice of red onion that was grilled and put on the burger. THAT was a good burger. But if you are ever in Boise, Idaho you have to visit Big Jud's. They are famous for their burgers and have a 2lb. burger meal, if you can eat it in 30 minutes, your meal is free!
Thanks for joining Deb and I on our little burger adventure. Hey, Deb, next time I see you, let's grab a burger! You can find Deb and all her fabulous creations at her blog: www.stampladee.com
Thanks for taking time out of you day to visit my blog, I love sharing my creations with you. Enjoy your friday, maybe with a burger???
