Today I'm sharing another creation with the Stamp Set of the Month, Spring Botanicals.
Did you happen to catch the live video of this card on Facebook? If not, no worries, I've attached it for you below.
For the making of this card I used 10 different stamp pads! It all has to do with the Rock and Roll technique. Where you ink up your image with one color and roll the edge of it in a second darker color.
The part of this card that was my favorite to make was the background, using Pan Pastels to make a background that spotlights the bunny, see how it gets lighter in the center? I stamped the Flannel Life background stamp with clear pigment ink on Whip Cream card stock and then sponged on some Summer Days Pan Pastels. I started at the edge of the card stock, working towards the middle, so that the edges are darker than the middle.
The bunny himself was die cut using the Hop Cuts die (which is a die set you can earn for free with a $100 order at FSJ) from Oatmeal Cookie card stock. I gave him the look of Burlap using a back ground stamp, Canvas Prints in Oatmeal Cookie ink.
The idea for this card came from, Linda Carver. I asked for suggestions on what to do next with the Stamp Set of the Month on my facebook page and the idea I used for this week was Linda's, to put the bunny behind some flowers. I love how it turned out, thank you Linda for the idea!
I will be back next week with another project for you with the Spring Botanicals set. If you love this set and decide to add it to your collection, I will send you an exclusive card kit and tutorial to make with your new set.
Take a look at the making of this card in the video below.
