Hi Stamping Friends. I have part two of my Mystery Swap, with my friend and downline Barbara Miller, for you today.
Here's how the Mystery Swap works. I made a card using the Blooms In Boots stamp (a stamp that FSJ gives for free with a $75 order) and Spring Filled Prints Paper. Then, I sent Barbara a kit for this card. Now here is the fun part, she made her card using the kit I sent her, never having seen my card.
First let's take a look a the card I made.
I stamped the boot image onto watercolor paper with Clear Pigment Ink and embossed it with clear powder. I added the color over the top using Watermelon Fusion, Cool Pool and Lavender Fusion Liquid color and a Blending Brush with water in it. The liquid colors come in a bottle, I squeezed out a few drops onto a paint pallet and mixed the ink with a few drops of water from my blending brush, so it was very watery. I wanted the image to have a wet, rained on look.
Now let's see what Barbara made with her kit.
I love how she colored her flower yellow! The flowers are made of a light weight paper that feels hand made, they are called Sweet Blooms. And the coloring on her boot is very pretty, I'd wear those boots! We are having a lot of rain here in Idaho today, so today is a perfect day for rain boots!
I enjoyed doing this Mystery Swap with Barbara and we are planning another fun collaboration for next month too! You can find Barbara at her blog: www.inkybsjourney.com
