Do you love a fun DIY home decor piece made with recycled things. Then I have a FUN project for you today.
I recently tried a local brand of Kombucha (fermented black tea) and it came in these cute, short, dark amber glass bottles. And they were just too cute to throw in the recycle, I thought and UPcycle project was in order.
I free hand cut some strips of Burlap using my Grand Pro Shears, they cut this burlap like a dream!
I tied the burlap strips around the bottles, finishing them off with a knot. Then I added a small piece of lace trim to the knot, because it needed dressed up.
Each jar has it's own tag. Similar, as I used the Cottage Bouquet stamp set on each tag. But each tag features different Metallic color. This first flower is embossed with Rose Gold. It's so yummy!
I love the mixing of metallics, so I thought this trio of bottles (turned vases) would shine if each was a different metallic. Check out the Gold and Silver tags.
But the thing that makes these vases extra special are their tops!
I dipped each of them in the embossing powder that matches the tag on the bottle and heat it up to melt it to the bottle top. It made me giddy to see the transformation from ordinary to shabby chić. They have the look of something old, made new again. I'd love to see a single wild flower in each. Now, to gift these or put them on my mantle???
If you'd like to see my demonstration of these jars you can watch the video below from my Facebook page.

The tags on today's projects were made using the Cottage Bouquet stamp set, which is the July Stamp Set of the month. Stamp Set of the month is a set I pick because it is versatile. Then I share a project with it each Monday night, LIVE on my Facebook page. When you purchase the stamp set of the month from me, then I will mail you an exclusive card kit with this set, so you can make your first card with your new stamp set on me.
