Today's card was so much fun to make, I needed a special card for one of my besties, Georgie. I was trying to go for an 80's vibe, what do you think, do you get 80's when you look at this card? She LOVES the 80's and it's music, so I thought it would be a great birthday card for her.
The color combination was inspired by the Star-Fetti I put inside the shaker. These teeny tiny stars are so cute. I put a TON of them inside this shaker and you can barely tell I used any from the jar.
The layout for this card was inspired by the Sketch challenge that the team I am in does each week. I love a challenge to help spark my mojo. I am on such a great team, I feel so blessed. I will be submitting this card for the challenge and each week someone wins a free stamp set!!!
Do you see the coloring on the cake? Let me tell you how I did this. I used True Color Fusion ink refills, Fusion Blending Solution and a Blending Brush. I put some drops of ink and drops of the blending solution on a clear view sheet. I blended them together with my brush and used that to color in my image. It is easy with this coloring method to get shades of one color. I like to use this coloring method on an embossing image because you can get too much blending solution on your brush causing the ink to bleed outside the stamped image. An embossed image helps hold the ink in.
Below are all the products I used to make this card.
Please let me know if you have any questions about todays card, I am here to help. Thank you for stopping by.
