Hello Stamping Friends, coming to you today with Part 2 of the Bestie Swaptacular!
Today Georgie and I are sharing our cards made with the goodies that I selected and sent her.
I sent a piece of background paper that I made using shaving cream, buttons and a nice long piece of Lemon Drop Satin Ribbon.
First up I will share what I made.
The swirls in the shaving cream made me think of ice-cream. And I had just ordered the Sweet Life stamp set and was anxious to play with it.
I really enjoyed coloring in my image with Color Burst Pencils. I love taking multiple shades of one color and getting that shaded look on my images.
I did not stop there, I actually decorated the inside of the card. Not something I do very often, but I working on it.
First let's talk about the little ice-cream on a stick that I made out of Pearler Beads. It is a craft my daughters like to do and I was making some cute things with my daughter the other night and I asked her if I could make an ice-cream cone to match my card. So we came up with this. She ironed it for me and hot glued it to the stick.
Second, this card obviously needed a place to put a gift card, which is what the bow at the bottom of the card is for, you slide a gift card behind it. I think a Baskin Robbins card would do nicely.
I am sharing the video on how I made the Rainbow Shaving Cream backgrounds for you below. After you watch it make sure you click over and subscribe to my YouTube Channel.
Now I want you to brace yourself for Georgie's card that she made with the Rainbow Shaving Cream background that I sent her. It is so very clever!
It's seriously amazing, a rainbow Christmas card, WOW, it's really fun! And I love how she added the Rainbow Drops, the colored gems! Which you can get in a discounted bundle until 9/23/18, check it out HERE. Be sure to click over to her blog and catch the making of this card video, she did a cool thing with her ribbon.
Below I have listed all the products I have used to make my card, click on any image to view it in my online store.
