It's time for another Besties Swaptacular! This is part 1 for October.
I am sharing the card I made with things that my bestie, Georgie gave me to create with. Georgie sent me a strip of printed paper, twine, die cut pine cones and pine branches. And here is my card.
I wanted a vintage look for my card and I am very pleased with how it turned out. Even though I did not end up using the pine branches.
You can see the making of this card in this video, on Facebook.
My special trick on this card was the shadowing of the hand stamped sentiment. It's done with just a gray colored pencil! But what a great effect to give the letters a bit of a shadow and make them pop off the paper even more.
Now, let me show you what Georgie created with the same pieces.
She used the other side of the printed paper. And she did use the die cut pine bows. I love the addition of the poinsettia!
You can find Georgie's blog post on this card HERE, where you will also find a video on the making of this card.
Stay tuned tomorrow for Part 2, where Georgie and I share what we created with the items I selected.
Thanks for stopping by!
