Today I am having a Christmas Card class in the studio and we are making some fun retro inspired cards. I thought I'd share one of them with you today.
For this shaker card I die cut the three snowflakes using my Silhouette Cameo electronic die cutting machine.
I then stamped the Flannel Life image over the top of this in Cool Pool ink. I wanted the snowflakes to stand out a little bit more, so I sponge around them with the same ink. When I did this I put the paper on my envelope, so now it has snowflakes sponged on it.
The elements in my shaker card are called Holiday Elements from FSJ. They have a very retro Christmas feel.
My favorite part of this card is the deer. I stamp the deer image from the Merry Everything stamp set on the back of a piece of corrugated stock. Then I cut it out and flipped it over. Now I just have the silhouette of a deer. I sponged the edges with Oatmeal Cookie ink to give it some depth.
Isn't his bow precious! That is from the Charming Cottage Box Die set by Becca Feeken. I am seriously in love with this die set, look at all the fun things included.
Stay tuned for cute things with this die set! I'll be using it lots more!
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will stamp with me soon, my November virtual class will be open for enrollment next week!
