Incase you missed my LIVE demonstration on New Year's Eve I am posting this cool card I made here.
I demonstrated No-Line Coloring with the Stamp Set of the Month, Stay Cozy.
Since we are still in the middle of winter and I know there will be more snow falling here in Idaho before spring arrives, I am having fun making winter themed thank you cards.
I knew for this card I wanted to make a night scene. I watched a couple videos on YouTube, by Ashley Tucker and Debbie Hughes on no line coloring with colored pencils and thought this would be the perfect look for my night scene. So, I gave it a try.
The whole "no-line coloring" idea is that you used a very light stamped image as a template to trace or draw over with what ever color medium you choose.
For my card I stamped my image with Riverstone ink on Riverstone card stock. I then used my Journey Color Burst pencils to trace over the lines with a somewhat heavy hand, creating darker lines. Then I filled in the images with a lighter touch. I was a lot of fun and relaxing. I can just imagine sleeping all warm and cozy inside one of these cabins with the soft hush of snow falling outside.
You can see everyone has gone in for the night after a day of sledding and snowman building. The falling snow is a simple mix of white acrylic paint and water splattered on with a small paint brush.
You can watch the making of this card in the video below.
Thank you for taking the time to stop and visit my blog. If you try this technique I would sure love to see it!

Thank you Jane, great question! I used the following Journey Color Burst Pencils; 48, 22, 41, 39, 01 and 42 (for the runners on the sled). I'd love to see your card when you're finished!
