So excited for April, I have a spring in my step because Spring is in the air! Also, a new month means a new stamp set of the month! Each month I pick a stamp set that I love and feature it on my Facebook page each Monday night on a LIVE video, then Tuesday morning you will find the creation right here on the blog! Stay tuned next week for more exciting offerings with the stamp set of month of April!
So, what is the April Stamp set of the month??? Oh Gnome, I hope I am not leaving you in suspense!
It is the Oh Gnome stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn...
I mean, how can you resist them??? Too cute, right! Gnomes, mushrooms and punny sayings! I am in! I wanted my first card to show two little gnomes in love. Maybe just married, maybe with their first new home, maybe an anniversary card, or a father's day card for a hubby, there are so many good occasions to give this card.
You may notice that cute mushroom house. It's a great die set you can use with the gnomes or own it's own, called Mushroom House. I only used a few dies from this set to keep it simple but you can really make a scene with this die set! And you can group that with the Mushroom border die set for more details in your scene. Which is the die set I used for my grassy hill.
I used Distress Oxide inks to make a green ombre panel to die cut my grass from. I love how the greens so seamlessly blend! I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. For the sky, I use Tumbled glass making the top of the card darker and let it fade to white as it got close to where the sky would meet the grass. Then I stamped the sentiment over the top of the sky in Salty Ocean ink. I use my MISTI so that I could get the two sentiment stamps straight and so that I could stamp it multiple time in the same spot on the card, to intensify the ink.
If you missed last nights video you can still view the making of this card here.
If you don't already click over to my Facebook page and LIKE it so that you can come watch me live next Monday night for another fun creation with these products.
Below you will find all the products linked that I used to make this card. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Stamping!
